Hi Disney Dining Experts,

Can anyone tell me where in the parks/Downtown Disney you can find REAL, brewed coffee - not Nescafe? I will have to break down and drink it :scared: since we're staying at Pop Century sans coffee maker, but I would looove to be able to get some real coffee in the world! We don't have a car, so going offsite isn't an option. TIA, my caffeine addiction thanks you!

I was wondering about the coffee, too. I've read some reports that the coffee in the World is just dreadful. I really looooooove my morning cup o' Joe and am a little nervous about what I'll find when I arrive. We're staying at AKL and we'll have a pot in our room - what kind of coffee to do they, anyway?

You may be surprised. I like coffee. Love coffee. am addicted to coffee. And, while Pop coffee wasn't in the top 100 cups I've ever had- it wasn't as atrocious as it was made out to be here on the dis. It's not instant, I don't think. I believe that it's a liquid/frozen concentrate which is really not bad. It's smooth, doesn't get bitter. Plus Pop has half and half and really- any coffee tastes ok when you can add real half & half to it!

It was hot when we were there last year so I wasn't compelled to get the pressed pot at Boma but I've heard it's great- as is the pressed pot at the Poly. I had coffee at Chef Mickeys and it wasn't as good as at Pop...your mileage may vary :)

I know the answer! :)

Go to the Earl of Sandwich at DTD, they serve a wonderful, delicious cup of Kona coffee, and will even give you a re-fill (at least the did for me). The price is very reasonable too.

I just did a search and there are Coffee Pot Swap Threads out there for the Value Resorts. Find a Time you can take advantage of the a CP Swap and bring your own Sealed sample pack (enough for 1 pot-probably 4 cup coffee maker) pre-ground coffee with you to Resort.
We stay a Mods and there is a Coffee Pot in the Room and I will bring my own fixins. Oh and Don't forget to ask swap about filters (if you have to bring your own and what size and shape of filter). I hope this helps. I always like to help my fellow Caffine Addicted Brothers and Sisters.

Oooo, Kona Coffee at the Poly! Yum, I forgot about that. And Starbucks at the Swan.... thanks for the tips! Unfortunately, the coffee maker swap is full for the days we're staying, I already checked. :sad1: I will be drinking the Nescafe at Pop though - want to avoid that wicked caffeine-withdrawal headache!

Thanks for the ideas! Anyone else know of other places to get real coffee, maybe in the parks? Y'all are the best:thumbsup2

Is there an actual Starbucks at the Swan/Dophin, or do they just brew Starbucks coffee. DW is a Starbucks latte fanatic, and if they have an actual Starbucks at the Swan that would make her day. We're staying @ BCV so the walk in the AM wouldn't be bad.

Thanks in advance..........

In MGM, the Writers Stop has real coffee. In Epcot, there is a kiosk, I think next to McDonalds, they have real coffee. I haven't found anything in MK. I actually getting used to Nescafe, but I need tons of cream. I have also found the nescafe isn't too bad if you get a cappachino (sp).

Good luck. I always think if I'm drinking bad Nescafe coffee, I'm at DW and that's not a bad thing!!!

Confession:

Last year, I packed my espresso maker and coffee and made that in my room every morning.

What can I say, I'm a coffee snob, and I'm used to packing the coffee maker with me to survive things like visits to my mother, or vacations with the in-laws.

Although, I did grab a cup out of the coffee/book shop in MGM and it was pretty good. (I was desperate for caffine!)

Epcot has a Espress stand near Mission Space. It is indepently run, so no nescafe. Some places in the world sell "lattes and mochas" using nescafe. Icky.
There is also a stand outside of Animal Kingdom just before you enter the park.

Coffee snob here too.. I cannot help it, I do love Starbucks so Swan and Dolphin are good and I did think that Kona Cafe had good coffee as well.....also french press in some of the signature restaurants....but other than that, I pack my little Farberware percolator and my fave coffee....Green Mountain Our Blend and make it in the room.. I also use bottled water, fanatical coffee person that I am.

I love coffee and the stronger the better...I have my own iced coffee maker that I use in the summer and it makes a mean pitcher of STRONG coffee (bouncing off the walls coffee)...I cant tolerate nescafe no matter how much its doctored up...to me its just hot water with some weird taste to it...it stinks:rolleyes: a couple of months ago I went to DL and went so far as to take my own coffee ground up but forgot the filters:confused3 sheesh what a dork!! are the resort food courts supplied with the same coffee?? is it nesca crap??? does anyone know what kind of filters POR uses??? and what about BC? thanks:)

Kona at the Polynesian ('Ohanas, Kona Cafe, and the Kona Coffee Bar) and Kenyan AA at Animal Kingdom Lodge! :thumbsup2 You can order Kenyan in a press pot at Boma and Jiko. Yummmmmmmm! :surfweb:

Kenyan AA at Animal Kingdom Lodge!

GREAT! So is this the coffee that you can make in your room? And/or the coffee served at the Mara? Or can I only get this coffee at Boma or Jiko?

I am also a coffee snob - I have a Keurig pot at home and am definately a K-cup addict. I'll make due with 'regular' coffee but whatever that Nescafe crap is, it sounds nasty.... exactly what is it, anyway?

Nestle brand coffee (Nescafe)

The little stand inside AK sold good espresso, as did at least a couple of stands inside Epcot. Not sure about MK- but I did drink a decent cup of coffee at the Writers Stop, and the espresso at Pop wasn't too bad.

I'm a coffee junkie myself, so the regular coffee at Pop was OUT:sad2:

MK - Sleepy Hollow has good coffee drinks (espresso, etc).
