Where to find jeans that fit?

My DD 10 is incredibly thin. She prefers skinny jeans but every pair she tries on is way too baggy on her. She is 4'10" and has a 25" waist. I have had no luck finding jeans that fit her. Jeggings are baggy on her. She really is a toothpick! So where would you recommend looking? I haven't found any at Justice, Old Navy, Childrens Place or Kohls!

Abercrombie Kids. Not budget but they fit incredible. My children are also very thin and love them.

I'm her size as an adult and do well at JC Penney in the girls department. They have slim, regular and husky with a much more reasonable price than Abercrombie.

Look for the slims/super skinny with an adjustable waist. It's sometimes hit or miss.

Thank you for your input. It never occurred to me that she might need juniors sizes. I'll go shopping with her this weekend and try out some of the suggested stores. Our local mall only has a few of the stores that were suggested so we will start there. Thanks everyone!

American Eagle 00. They generally do not carry them in stores, but you can order them online. They got us through most of the teen years until she grew into a regular 0.

Can anyone offer tips for a skinny 4 year-old? Every time I look at her, her behind is sticking out. We've tried Gap and Old Navy and Gymboree jeans. I've cinched in waists to the point of being uncomfortable, but they still fall down. Does some brand make a higher rise? I don't want to put her in "mom" jeans, but it's hard to teach modesty when your behind is sticking out.

Two of my kids were really thin and it was hard to buy clothes for them. I found that Arizona jeans from jcpenny seemed to run thinner than most. If she is in the 4-6x dept, you should be able to find Arizona jeans that come in a slim with the waist adjusters. Many brands of "slim" used to be too wide for my kids, but these seemed to be better for them. They also weren't low rise jeans like the gap usually had. Good luck! I know how frustrating it can be! Finding sweat pants and leggings was always a bigger problem because they don't come in slim at all. Btw, lands end online used to sell slim bathing suits for girls too, in case you need them. Took me a few years to find that out. It was the only place I could find suits for my daughter for a long time!

For my younger DD who is super skinny I find Jeggings work best for her. I got some at Kohls this year. Otherwise every brand is bulky at the waist or falling down her. (And I thought my older DD was skinny at this age )

My 4 year old is 40 inches tall and 27 lbs so I feel your pain . My 2 year old will be the same....she is 35 inches and 22 lbs. Luckfully both are obsessed with dresses so that's generally all that they wear. When they do wear pants/shorts/skirts, I've found that Children's Place has fairly small-waisted bottoms. I also do Old Navy (and sometimes Gap when there is a good sale) but size down (unfortunately this does not work for pants for my older dd because her height is too tall and they end up as capri pants). I try to find elastic-waisted jeans because my daughters hate the adjustable waist tabs (they are very uncomfortable). I also do a lot of leggings and jeggings (especially at Target...they have good prices).

The absolute worst places for skinny little girls (IMO) are Gymboree, Carter's and Wal-Mart. Their clothing is so incredibly wide!! My 2 year old still fits into Gymboree clothes sized at 6-9 months .

Thanks for the tips ladies. Luckily we're finally starting to warm up around here. Dresses and monkey bar shorts are much easier to fit!

My daughter is 12 in 6th grade and weighs about 78 lbs. We've had the same issue with how jeans fit. She can get super skinny jeans from Old Navy and jeggings at Justice in a size 12 and they work. She is very lean, so regular Old Navy skinny jeans were baggy. Same with Jutice. And to size down, they would've been too short. So, she's a hard fit, but has things that work. For what it's worth, most of her friends buy junior sizes, but we've tried them and she's just not there yet.
