I am sure this has probably been asked before, but can anyone fill me in on where to find a great steak??? Thanks

I love Filet Migon and any Disney resturant that has it on there menu. Which is a lot of them. Have been Fantasmic!

Little secret that the Grand Floridian Cafe (upscale coffee shop) shares the kitchen with some very high-end restaurants at that resort. So the food there is better than an average coffee shop, by a longshot. We had a great steak there once, on the dining plan.

Yachtsmen steakhouse is 2TS if on dining plan
LeCellier 1TS very good filet

DAHHHH! I forgot LeCellier. Went there the first time in April it was great and they are know for it.

The best steak on property is Shula's in the Dolphin. Excellent cuts of meat and very well prepared.

Shula's has the best (and most expensive) steak on property. It is not covered by the dining plan.

All signature restaurants have good steaks - but most only have one. Yachtsman is a steak house - so they have more than a single steak. With the other restaurants, you should note the preparation - Flying Fish has a good steak, but its charred - which some people don't like. Jiko's is served on a bed of the best mac and cheese ever, but if you aren't a mac n cheese person (I'm gluten intolerant - I'm not terribly impressed with the Jiko steak - my husband LOVES it - and its a good steak, but its the mac n cheese that makes it). I wasn't impressed with the Narcoosee's steak, but perhaps I just was unlucky.

Of the one credit restaurants, Le Cellier is a steakhouse with a few steaks on their menu, and the best reputation. On occation, the steak here is better than at some of the signature places (though we've only found that true once in half a dozen trips - and the steak it was better than was that unimpressive Narcoosee's steak eaten the night before.)

We did the DXDP on the last trip, so DH & I tried many different steaks throughout the trip! Of the signature restaurants, my favorite was at Jiko, w/ Cali Grill a very close second. Yachtsman Steakhouse & Brown Derby were good, but not overly impressive. Out of the 1TS restaurants my top two favs were from Mama Melrose & Le Cellier, although I thought the one from Mama Melrose was a little bit better.

I have heard Shula's has some awesome steaks. I am not sure if it is included on the dining plan. I don't think it is a kid-friendly restaurant. While this may be a bummer for those families who have children, it is a blessing for those who don't. It is miserable to be dining and trying to have a conversation with someone while there are screaming children nearby. You cannot hear anything for the din of children.

If you want to try something a little different and outstanding, try the buffalo steak at Artist Point in the WL.

Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club - hand cut daily.

The steaks we have had at Kona Cafe were very good and cooked just right, we enjoyed our meals there better than LC.

Yachtsman Steakhouse if you want a WDW restaurant.

We love Ruth's Chris far more than Morton's, Shula's, or Capitol Grille - but we also have access to all of those where we live, so since the meat is so great at YS, we prefer to dine there to have some different options from the other more "chain" type places. They do have a different twist on some of their sides, salads, and appetizers.

I have never been disappointed with the Filet at Kona Cafe, I like it better than the one I had at Artist Point.
