There's a combined AK/MGM single-day plan, also from the Unofficial Guide, that debuted on AllEarsNet: http://allearsnet.com/ae/issue252.htm. Obviously, seeing both parks on separate days will be more relaxing. But if you've only got one day and want to see the best of both parks, this should do it.
