Hi, If I pick up a warm, gooey cinnamon roll and cappucino from the bakery on my way into MK, where is a nice spot to stop and enjoy it? Should I stop and enjoy it or wolf it all down as I make a mad dash to the latest, greatest ride?

There is a little ally that is right by the bakery that has tables and chairs and is always quiet and empty. If you are walking down MSUSA from the park entrance towards the Castle it is just before the bakery. It is a great spot (I never noticed it until we stopped there on the KTTK tour I was on). :thumbsup2

We love this spot- great area to admire the window art and get a little shade.

There is always room on the veranda looking out onto the castle grounds. There are rarely ever people there, mostly I suspect because people think it is closed. It is located just past the Ice Cream Parlor (turn right when facing the Castle), on your way to the old Noodle Factory (now called the Terrace Grill, I think)(which never seems to be open except for special events).

The Veranda is a wonderful place to enjoy your treats, or just to relax away from the crowds. Good picture place, too!

+1 for Center Street! The family and I got ice cream on our last trip and were looking for a place to get out of the way for a bit. I was planning on heading all the way back down MSUSA to the train station and sit up there, but saw this little street, so we headed down it and saw that there were a few parlor-style tables at the end of it.

Bonus - this is the street where the Voice Lessons, Tap Lessons and Piano Lessons are held. Keep an ear out for them :)

Don't be surprised if you don't get a "warm gooey cinnamon roll" first thing in the morning at the Main Street Bakery. Not sure what time you'd have to arrive to actually get a warm fresh cinnamon roll, but it's not in the first 1/2 hour the park is open!

They no longer bake them fresh first thing in the morning...the last two times we tried to get fresh breakfast at park opening (January and February of this year) what we actually got was cold, stale nearly rock-hard cinnamon rolls. I suspect they had been made the day before and put in a refrigerated walk-in cooler, uncovered. And then they just took the pans off the racks and put them directly in the serving counter without even warming them up.

NO gooey. The icing was cold & brittle (broke off in chunks) NOT warm...cold as if it just came out of a fridge. NOT fresh, soft & chewy...the roll was stale through & through - could hardly bite through it.

And it wasn't just the cinnamon rolls...hubby had an apple turnover that was the same (cold) though his was still flaky anyway.

People all around us at the tables in MS Bakery were throwing out pastries.

we like to sit and chill there in the veranda area where the noodle station is as well. at least in years past, can't say for this year, but i like it because it's outside but still air conditioned and has a nice view of the castle.

Wow, that's good to know, although it does present a dilema. Our first stop at MK is always the Bakery (we've done the rush to the rides thing so many times over the years). So we're always one of the very first people in line. Sounds like no more warm gooey cinnamon rolls for us.

Is MSB open prior to RD? I'm asking because DD has an appointment at BBB before RD and then we are eating breakfast at CRT(wow, that's a lot of acronyms) at I believe 9:15am. I may want to grab a coffee and maybe a little bite on the way in/heading to BBB.

Not sure if MSB is open, but there is a kiosk at the TTC that serves coffee/pastry. Should be a good place to get pre-RD breakfast!

I was wondering about that, we had gotten one but it was in the afternoon and we just pitched it. Was dry and stale. Little worried to try it again.
