We'll be staying off site for the first time and won't be eating, breathing and living Disney our whole time in Orlando. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for some family/kid-friendly restaurants that are close-ish to Caribe Royale.

There are quite a few in the area, on 192, heading towards Disney. Miller's Ale House is a fav of mine...good food, decent prices.

Only questions are what do you like to eat? If you head up 535 toward Downtown Disney, you'll find tons of different eateries. Don't know if you like pizza, but there's a CiCi's not too far. All you can eat pizza buffet with salad, pasta and dessert. DH and I really pigged out for $12.00. Oh yeah, the breadstick are to die for!!!
Further up the road is Bahama Breeze, LoneStar, Golden Corral. Continue towards the Crossroads and you'll find any chain restuarant you can think of.

Stayed in the area in January and, depending on your tastes, ate many meals out for very little money.

Whatever you do, have a great time:goodvibes:goodvibes

I'll give you some areas that between them will have pretty much every restaurant out there. As someone mentioned just drive up 535 towards DTD which has a lot of restaurants,I like Joes Crab shack,Giordanos pizza,Bahama Breeze,Fuddruckers and Golden Corral for a buffet, you could of course also go to DTD which has other options,Earl of Sandwich is a simple less expensive one,T-Rex is a more expensive one.Another area is International Drive north of the convention center, there's another Bahama Breeze,Buffalo Wild wings,Cafe Tu Tu Tango,There's a Cracker Barrel by Universal,Dave and Busters just opened up,the kids could play video games and eat,go into CityWalk in Universal,NBA cafe,Margaritaville and Nascar cafe are all fun and good.If you turn west from International Drive on Sand lake rd,west of I-4 is what they call restaurant row,a few more upscale choices there but there are less expensive options available as well.

I posted the same ? and have been researching myself. Here is a link to my post regarding places and days that kids eat free

I have been printing this morning...Sweet Tomatoes has a coupon for the 19.99 for two adults and two children M-R. Houlihans...kids eat free when two adults purchase an entree, and their kids items are awesome. Ruby Tuesdays has a 15% off good for all of August, which isn't wonderful but anything helps. Tuesdays kids eat free at a lot of restaurants so will have to see which one we will choose, lol.

Have fun! I'm so excited to be heading back over, love O Town.
