Hello,
This is my first "real" trip to Disney World w/o my parents :)
I have been told to book our meals asap. Our date to call is the 20th of April
(about 11 days) I wanted to know what you would suggest.

My to be husband will eat anything....However, I dislike fish, and red meat. I'll eat it ,but chicken is my first pick. We got the meal plan that you get Breakfast,Lunch, 2 Snacks, and Dinner w/ our honeymoon package. We don't plan on using them all, but would like to use most.

Need some advice.........
Thanks! :bride:

Sounds like you have the DxDP.

'Ohana is a really good place for dinner. It's one of the harder ones to get-if you do it near the end of your trip it will be easier to get. They bring you cornbread, noodles, chicken wings and dumplings. Then come the skewers of meat: shrimp, turkey, pork and beef. Then the delicious dessert bananas foster. I might have missed some things.

Chef Mickey's is another popular one. I have heard dinner isn't so great. I haven't had dinner there since 2000. Breakfast was really good in 2008, missed our breakfast in 2009 (check out day).

Hoop Dee Doo Review (2 TS credits) is another fun one we liked. It's a dinner show with cornbread, chicken, mashed potatoes and strawberry shortcake.

There are so many restaurants, I could keep going. Do you prefer not to do Character meals? Do you want signature dinners (2 TS credits)?

Most places will have a vegetarian and a chicken option available, even the steakhouses and seafood places.

When I'm there with the Deluxe plan, I always book a signature each night for a nice dinner - but that's mostly because it is waaaaay too much food (not to mention way to much time spent in restaurants as opposed to in the parks) to try and eat three times a day. Usually use snack credits for something small for breakfast, like fruit or a muffin, and double up on credits in the evenings for a nicer restaurant for dinner. The Yachtsman Steakhouse, Jiko, Artist Point, and Citrico's are some of our favorite signatures (double-credit meals).

Another option is buffets - most of those involve characters, but some of them do have a wide selection of pretty good food. Our favorite is Crystal Palace (Pooh and Friends) for breakfast or for lunch, or Boma for dinner - this one is a little more exotic, but there are lots of things on the buffet there that do not contain either red meat or fish.

Not sure if you are staying in a Deluxe resort, but if so you can use dining credits for room service meals as well - 2 credits per person. ;)

REed as many posts here as possible - especially the dining reviews. They will give you many hints and tips of where to go. California Grill is lovely and you can watch Wishes from the 15th floor balcony! Good luck:wizard:
