Where to eat when park opens at 7am?

Staying on-site next week and will take advantage of EE. Two of those days we'll be able to enter the parks at 7am.

Checking online I see DTD Starbucks opening at 5am. I called LaBrea and they said they open at 8am.

I really don't want to tie up time eating during EE. In the past we'd pick up something at LaBrea and eat while in line at the gates. That's when EE/MM was at 9am.

Where do you grab something to eat in the morning to tide you over until an early lunch?
Looking for something in DTD or the DLH.

TIA
Geemo

Are you staying at a hotel/motel that has a fridge in the room? If so, I would pick up something the night before that can be eaten cold instead of trying to find somewhere that is open before 7:00 am. Even things like pastries, danishes, etc. will survive one night without refrigeration in most cases (my family often gets something at Jolly Holiday on our way out of DL to have as a midnight snack or breakfast the next morning).

The Coffee House at the DLH opens at 6am. A coffee and a bagel usually do it for us until lunch.

Agree with figment_ji, to grab something the day before to eat for breakfast. We stay at GCH, and typically will pick up some milk/cereal/pastries the day before a 7AM EMH. Or, we just bring a box of cereal/bowls from home with us and pick up some milk at the hotel. If EMH is later, then we prefer to eat at WWS or LaBrea.

Good ideas. Thanks!
We've never been to DLR when the parks open at 7am.
I'm fine with that time of the morning but not sure about one or two of those going with me.

Thanks

Oatmeal can be made with a coffee pot... You can bring it with you on the plane. There is a Vons nearby. A case or two of water ( I usually get Dasani but that is not necessary) will save you time in the parks and $3/per bottle... :-)

Room service? Jamba Juice? (They might not open til 7 though...) But the Coffee shop is probably the best idea.

There is a Denny's or McDonald's across the street if ur willing to leave the disney bubble

Hi All,

We are faced with the same issue in Mid-March with EEs at 7am, so we've decided to move breakfast to 10:30-11:00am each morning and eat something small from Starbucks or the room on the way into the park. The late morning breakfast will serve more as brunch for us and keep us from missing the golden EE and post EE hours when the parks are far less crowded. We have the Plaza Inn 10:40a, Carnation Café 10:30a, Steakhouse 55 10:30a, and Goofy's 11:20a booked for our trip. This plan has worked well for us in the past.

The timing you have noted is what I have done for our character breakfast we have reserved. I just hadn't put any thought into where to get a starter snack for the 7am days. I know of the different spots on Harbor but I didn't want to have to skip over there.
The stay at the DLH is a freak happening. pixiedust:
Being retired now and taking all the grandkids, usually puts on-site out of reach.
Those two 7am daze are going to be great!!! I'm going to start resting up for them this weekend.
I can hardly wait to hop on the plane Wednesday morning.

We are staying at the DLH for the first time and had the good fortune to stay at the GC in December with a fantastic meeting rate. We used the Starbucks every morning, but the line can get a bit long even at 6:45am, but they do keep things moving. When we stay on Harbor (Camelot) we try the coffee shop at the Carousel or the McDonalds but they lines were obnoxious and brutally slow. It seemed like as the line got longer they got slower and management didn't know that they were actually next to Disneyland....absolute torture with a 6 year old and an impatient daddy. Now with my son and I gluten free we've eliminated McDonalds (and their comical inefficiency), so we have to pack wisely.

From the DLH we will likely come in by monorail so we will have to plan for a snack in the room or in the hotel. I'm glad you are taking advantage of the early mornings as it is the #1 tip I tell everyone who asks for my DL or WDW strategy.

Enjoy and rest up for your next magical adventure!

We grab a granola bar (brought from home) & a starbucks in DD as we're walking from the hotel. Then enjoy our EE. Have a breakfast break around 10am at Carnation cafe or Minnie's.
