Where to eat Tradiitional Thanksgiving dinner?

Where would you eat on Thanksgiving Day? I see the list of places that serve it but wanted to know who would actually do it best? My family wants traditional or I'd just go someone ultra fab. Have you eaten at Disney on Thanksgiving? Where would you recommend? TIA!

I have not eaten at Disney on Turkey day, but Liberty Tree Tavern seems like an obvious choice. That's where I'd go if I wasn't going to do an elaborate dinner (e.g Cali Grill, or one of the other Signature restaurants)

We haven't been on Thanksgiving Day, but we went to LTT for Christmas Dinner and it was very traditional and would work for Thanksgiving Day as well.

Another vote for LTT. We always enjoy our meals there but have never been at Thanksgiving but if I were to go at that time of year, LTT would be it.

One Thanksgiving we did Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and Boma for supper. Boma was by far the better of the two ! I know they had the standard turkey and dressing - you might want to call them or do a search to find what other "holiday" items were on the menu.

I'm gonna say, where ever you can get in.

Many places are already going to be fully booked for Thanksgiving. For one, it is a very busy time of year and for another, you can make dining reservations 180 days in advance.

I would hop online and see what is left out of any of your choices.

I checked every hour for any where for Thanksgiving day because I thought I might want to change our ressie from Captain's Grille because I saw that last year it wasn't on the list for Thanksgiving meals and nothing was available anywhere and that was last week or the week before. We decided to keep what we have for dinner and have a Thanksgiving counter meal at CBR or somewhere for lunch.

Here is our T-day dinner at Ohana last year. So good we decided to do it again this year. It was very relaxed and being served family style made it easy for the kids to eat what they liked.

As others have said, at this point, it's going to be wherever you can get a reservation. I would try to book this immediately! The WDW dining site now has a great feature that will show you if an entire park has any openings within a hourly period. Even though it isn't in a park, I highly suggest Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge! Where will you be staying? Most Disney resorts will also have "Thanksgiving food" available at their quick service restaurants.

I've had Thanksgiving dinner at Disney many times, but not in the last couple of years. How it used to work, and I think how it still works is certain restaurants have a special Thanksgiving menu, while the rest are open with regular menus. One year it was Citricos, another the Disney Institute (that tells you how long ago that was), and another was one of the restaurants downstairs in the Grand Floridian. Just call Disney Dining, they will guide you.
