Where to eat outside the parks w/o ADR

Heading down from LA tonight for a few nights. I know it’ll be crazy crowded with NYE coming up.. i didn’t book an ADR for tonight because i wasn’t sure when we’d get down there.

Any tips for where to eat without a reservation outside the parks? We’re gonna go see Grand Californian and Disneyland hotel, then downtown Disneyland. We’d like to sit down and have dinner - Trader Joe’s portions are a little too small.

I know at Disney World you NEED ADRs to be seated. Not sure if it’s the same here.

I'd hop on the app and see what's available in Downtown Disney that might interest you, you can also check on OpenTable and Yelp. Uber/Lyft open up a lot of options for you. Within walking you've got Morton's, Cheesecake Factory, House of Blues, and tons of others. Might also check out the Anaheim Packing District, its a quick uber/lyft.

There are still available options for tonight showing on the App. Jazz Kitchen also takes reservations direct outside Disney Dining so you can always try can call them direct.

Craftsman Grill poolside @ GCH is first come for serve and there is alway Napa Rose lounge and/or bar that is first come fist serve and full menu service available.

You'd have to check on availability, but Steakhouse 55 in the DLH may be an option for a nice, larger meal.

It may not be quite the sit-down experience you're looking for, but we love the Craftsman Grill (formerly Whitewater Snacks) inside the Grand Californian and it always seems deserted.

Trader Sam's? Also, DTD = Downtown Disney (in case you do a search on this board -- our search function can be a little odd). Downtown Disneyland might give you some threads on Main Street. Agree with the pp -- just use the app to find available time slots. Walk ups might be available, but if the app shows a time that works for you, take it!
