Where to eat on Sea World day

As I recall from our last trip(s) the food at Sea World was not particularly edible. I don't need four star dining but would like a place to sit down and eat a decent meal. Any suggestions (either in park or nearby)?:confused3

My extended family has officially decided that Seaworld has the worst food of any park in Orlando. ::yes::

The only thing we found somewhat edible was the Seaport pizza place kind of in the center of the park. All they have is pizza and fruit and desserts, beer, soda. So our strategy is 1. Eat huge breakfast 2. Survive a slice and some watermelon/beer for small lunch 3. Eat big dinner somewhere out of the park. There is a Bonefish right there and some other good restaurants

I've never been to SW and we were considering the meal plan since we will be there all day. Is the dining included in that plan really bad? Any reviews, recommendations?

It's the same price as Disney food and about 1/3 the quality/palatability. I generally prefer a sit-down meal once a day and their "signature" restaurant left a LOT to be desired. We ate at the shark one.

I saw that for about $38 a day for an adult, you get unlimited food at designated restaurants. At first, I thought that that would be a great deal. Too bad it's gross! That changes my plan. Thanks for the advice.

We have done the dinner with Shamu, not to bad but good experience. Not to sure if they still do it but we enjoyed it a lot when we did it years ago.

I agree the food at Sea World is horrible we usually eat big character breakfast then eat at Red Lobster on the way back in to Disney right off I-4.

The shark grill was a great meal. We made reservations as soon as we got in the park. We sat right up on the glass. It was awesome!

We had lunch at Seafire Inn and Dinner with Shamu. The food was good, not sure why people are hating on it :confused3. Similar fare compared to the better QS restaurants in WDW.

eta, we did not care for Mango Joe's. Look on the Seaworld forum for restaurant recommedations.

We used the all day dine meal on our visit in July. It was a terrific deal. We arrived early and ate breakfast. It was a good meal. The fruit and choc chip muffin were fantastic. All meals included a beverage and dessert. Sometimes we just got on line for a snack and water. There were many places to eat and while some were better than others, the food was pretty good. Check out the locations and there menus, it is a good deal.

IMHO, SeaWorld's all day dining has Disney's counter service plan beat by a mile in both price and quality of food. After eating this week at both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, I can't imagine how SeaWorld's dining options are considered less appealing than Disney's :confused3 .

I would wholeheartedly recommend the all day dining for SeaWorld visitors. Its truly unlimited from breakfast right through to dinner and beyond (not restricted to two meals like Disney's plan), includes all beverages and snacks, and is flexible (ie you can have fries or fruit or a salad as your "side" rather than being forced into having a dessert with each entrée).

Meal options vary widely depending on where you eat. We have enjoyed barbecue platters at Voyageurs (chicken and ribs, corn on the cob, etc.), stuffed bread bowls, chicken alfredo and fish & chips at Seafire Inn, chicken tenders and fries at Mango Joes, and a great breakfast of eggs, bacon, homefries, French toast sticks and the biggest blueberry muffins you have ever seen. The only place I would say to avoid is the Terrace Garden pizza buffet....its just "meh". There are better places to eat in the park.

I love the fact that SeaWorld offers so many different quick-service choices beyond Disney's standard pizza and burgers.

We've eaten a few times at the Seafire Inn, and it was pretty good.

Although we haven't tried the "eat all day" plan at Seaworld, we really enjoyed all the food at Discovery Cove! Their breakfast was pretty good, and the lunch options were great!

We'll be at Seaworld on Sept 14!

I agree with this post:

Unless, I do something like make a reservation at Ohana or Boma (resort restaurants near the parks) and pay about $35 pp or go for an Ethnic meal at Epcot (not inexpensive and takes some time), for a Disney theme park day, I personally prefer SeaWorld quick theme park fare to Disney's quick theme park fare.

Based on many years of personal experience eating in the parks, it's surprising to me to see so many negative posts about SeaWorld food. I don't go to theme parks for the food (that's for sure), but personally feel the standard food offerings at SeaWorld are a cut above most other theme parks I have visited. Others in my family and extended family feel the same way too.

For our mini trip in October, I did a SeaWorld hotel deal that includes SeaWorld admission with dining and quick queue for the day we'll be visiting that park. And I have no concerns whatsoever about that and no problem eating there for a day.

Oh good! Thanks for the tip. We are a family of six and my kids eat us out of house and home each week so this shouldn't be too bad. They don't have gourmet taste but my husband may be a different story. He'll just have to deal...lol. I like that you can get in line for drinks and snacks.

Shark Grill if you feel like splurging. Otherwise, given the age of your kids, I recommend Flippers Pizza, a block north on I-Drive, or the TGI Fridays across the street. Both are quite good for what they are.
