Hi!

This is the first time we will have a car while at WDW!

Just checking to see what your favorite off site place to eat is. We ate at Olive Garden 15 years ago while we were there for our honeymoon. Is it still there?

Deb

Yep, the Olive Garden is still there. It is quite the popular spot the night before the Disney marathon!!!!

We like Outback steakhouse.

Bahamma Breeze, it is at 535 and Vineland

We will be eating at Bahama Breeze in less than two weeks. Also plan to re-visit The Macaroni Grill. Both are very close to Disney with very un-Disney prices.

Pizzaria Uno is at Crossroads as well as Chevy's Tex-Mex and Friday's. I hear Baskerville's over at the Grosvenor has a good buffet and there is a coupon for 50% off on restaurant. com. I am trying their prime rib buffet in 2 weeks. BTW, where is Macaroni Grill located?

Dh took me to a romantic place I want to say romano's. Anyway they have singing waiters! Was great time.

If you want possibly the best steak you've ever had at a pretty reasonably priced restaurant that puts Ruth's Chris to shame you've got to try Charley's steak house at 2901 Parkway in Kissimmee.

Wild wine selection and excellent cuts of beef.

Candace - Macaroni Grill has locations on 192 and Vineland. We usually go to the one on Vineland since it is so close. Just turn left at the light at Crossroads and it's down about a mile on the left.

I'm not saying most of the posted places aren't good, but they're rather ordinary. I can go to most of them in my backyard.

Try Cafe Tutu Tango on I-Drive. They serve an unusual menu of appetizer sized portion intended for all in your party to share. You order a few, eat, order a couple more, etc. Great food and fun & the restaurant is also a "starving artist" type location. Very interesting.

Over on Sand Lake road almost across from the Publix is a Melting Pot. They are a chain restaurant, but not that common. It's a fondue eatery.

Back on I-Drive, in I believe the Holiday Inn is the Shogun. It's similar to Tapenyakki's in Epcot, only much more reasonably priced. Stop at one of the tourist centers and pick up a coupon booklet. You'll probably find a buy-one,get-one coupon coupon.

If you enjoy seafood, try The Boston Lobster Feast. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes unlimited whole lobsters. It's about $26.95 pp. It includes raw oysters which I LOVE, steamers,u-peel shrimp, sushi bar, crab legs and a host of others.

Have fun.

Hi right next to the olive garden is race rock, a really fun restaurant themed to motorsports with huge portions and great service, very reasonable prices too, and in most coupon booklets there is a coupon for a free appetiser which again is HUGE

Also at the Crossroads shopping center is Pebbles. We have eaten there a number of times and found the food and service to be excellent. A good value.

Here's a link to a review.

I'd like to live in your backyard!!!! Charleys steakhouse is far from ordinary. They have a wine list that puts most others to shame and an onsite inventory of wine with a value of over 250 000.

If you like to choose a great wine to go with a fantastic cut of meat....You gotta try em..... Not ordinary at all.

That's why my post said "MOST" and not ALL.

If you seek Pizza, Giordano's is spectacular.

They are at:

Giordano's
12151 S Apopka-Vineland Rd
(407) 239-8900

Take care,
FunFamily

For pizza we enjoyed Paesano's at the Crossroads.

We also love Bahama Breeze and have never seen one outside of Orlando...though I know a few lucky places also have them. The food is, I guess, Caribbean? I had an amazing shrimp dish over angel hair pasta with a roasted red pepper sauce last time we were there. We can't wait to go back.

The Melting Pot is something different...though we do have one here and the one here is reportedly not very good (service in particular). We might try the one near WDW sometime.

If you're looking for a lunch or breakfast...or something light and quick there is also an Einstein Bros. up off Sand Lake Rd in the shopping center with the Albertsons. There is also a natural foods store with a small cafe called Chamberlin's in the same center....great place for those with specialized diets (vegan, wheat free...or whatever)

The Cafe Tutu Tango sounds great....how do you get there?
