Where to eat near Sea World ?

We are staying at the Travelodge La Mesa CA

After spending the day at Sea World.

Is there anywhere nearby that we can have a decent dinner that isn't expensive. There will be 5 adults and 4 kids going.

There's nothing really near Sea World, but you'll pass by lots of restaurants as you drive on Interstate 8 back to your hotel. There's a Marie Callender's and a DZ Akins off of Alvarado Road, and both of those are good and reasonably priced. And there's restaurants in Old Town, but you'll have to go into Old Town and try to park to do that. Within 2-3 miles of Sea World there's a bunch of restaurants on Sports Arena Blvd - Coco's, Red Lobster, Olive Garden and other things like that but you'll have to take surface streets to get there - it's not really difficult, though. There's other restaurants as you get out east to Grossmont Center, but I don't really know what's there.

Grossmont Center has Claim Jumpers, Olive Garden, Fuddruckers, a mexican place(can't remember name), Trophy's, and I think I am missing one or two in that area. There is a lot off of 8 going into that area that you can see from the road.

The Mexican restaurant is Casa de Pico, and right next to it is BJ's Brewhouse which has some really good food.

There is also a Chuck E. Cheese by the Olive Garden and Fuddrucker's.

There are some cute little Mexican and Italian restaurants in downtown La Mesa as well.

You'll pass by Mission Valley on your way back from SeaWorld, and there are a ton of great restaurants there - Mimi's Cafe, Seau's, Dave and Buster's, Gordon Biersch, many more. A short detour to Fashion Valley gets you to P.F. Chang's and Cheesecake Factory,

This might not be a place you might not want to go, Because it is pretty much a hamburger joint place. Although it is very good and better than In-n-out. It is called Hodad's in Ocean Beach. It is only 3 miles away from the entrance to Sea World. Great hamburgers.
