Help! My DH and I need a good TS rest. near MGM. We do not care for the rest. in MGM, so we would like your input. Our other ADR's for the week are: Kona, Maya Grill, and Wolfgang Puck

Take the boat over to the Boardwalk area. Your first stops are Swan/Dolphin and I know there are some good resturants there. Otherwise at the Boardwalk, you have The Flying Fish, Spoodles, ESPN Club, The Brewery.

At the Beach Club, is Cape May Buffet.

And at the Yachts Club is a fancy Steak Joint.

The boat ride is only 10 minutes. It is to the left when you walk out of the parks.

Well, the Epcot resort loop is probably your best bet since it is just adjacent to MGM. You can hop on the boat from MGM, and it will stop at Swan/Dolphin, YC/BC, and the BW. There are plenty of wonderful TS restaurants to choose from, including Flying Fish, Spoodles, and Yachtsman Steakhouse. If you want a TS restaurant that is a bit more casual Beaches & Cream is a nice option for burgers and shakes. I like Fresh (at the Dolphin) too, but they just serve breakfast or lunch.

DF and I also ran into this problem. We originally planned to eat at Brown Derby, but decided it just didn't seem like it was worth 2 TS credits, and none of the other MGM restaurants appealed to us. After reviewing menus for the surrounding areas, we decided on Yacht Club Galley at the Yacht Club Resort. The menu looks great, and it is within walking distance of MGM. When I asked about this restaurant, folks replied that it is a wonderful little WDW secret. I was told while it is not as upscale as the Yachtsman, it uses the same kitchen. Don't know if this is true, but it sounded good! Also, other posters have said it is rarely crowded, which is a plus for us!

Besides the Epcot options we love Spoodles, a quick boat ride (or walk if it isn't 90*) Cape may is great and Flying fish is next door to Spoodles.

Absolutely either boat or walk over to the Boardwalk area. Many different restaurants to choose from. It's also a great area to walk around and enjoy the many shops and walk through the resorts...Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin.

Check out the menus on the DIS home page (wdwinfo.com) or on allearsnet.com.

I vote for the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Just take a nice boat ride over, even stroll arount the boardwalk (if your feet are up to it). We LOVE it and have gone there on every trip we have taken. It has been simply delicious every single time!:thumbsup2

When I went to MGM I went over to Beaches and Cream for a late lunch/early dinner. Technically a TS, but not sure I would use a TS credit. I got a burger and fries, paid OOP and my total with tip was about $13. I think I had a soft drink with my meal.

There's also the Yacht Club Galley at the Yacht Club, and it's only one TS credit on the DDP. DS and DDIL ate there a few weeks ago, and they said it was the nicest meal they had all week. And DS had to give a vote for their cheesecake, he said it was the best he's ever had.

We were trying to find something near MGM also for our TS dinning this Sept...we've decied on Spoodles:thumbsup2 And I can't wait to give it a try.

From what I've heard it's great...and a close distance from MGM:goodvibes
