We will be arriving in Orlando on December 5 about 11:00am, staying at the Boardwalk Villas. We will also be attending the Christmas Party that evening and want to just grab something quick when we get there, probably Cosmic Rays. But, since we won't have park tickets for that day (only the party tickets), I can't figure out where we should eat lunch. I know we will be hungry and probably will want a big lunch. I tried to get Cape May and Spoodles, only to realize they only serve breakfast and dinner. What are your suggestions?

Also, here is our eating itinerary - how does it sound?

Sunday Dec. 5 - Lunch-??? ~ Dinner - Cosmic Rays for party

Monday Dec. 6 - Lunch- Coral Reef ~ Dinner-fast food at Fantasmic

Tuesday Dec. 7 - Brunch- Donald's Breakfastasaurus ~ Dinner-Rose & Crown

Wenesday Dec. 8 - Lunch - Prime Time Cafe ~ Dinner-Spoodles

Thursday Dec. 9 Lunch -Crystal Palace ~ Dinner-Cape May

Friday Dec. 10 - Breakfast - CINDERELLA'S!! ~ Lunch - counter service at MK

Besides Friday, we will be doing quick breakfasts in the villa.

Thanks for your input!!!

ESPN is open for lunch on the Boardwalk, as is Spoodles pizza window. What I would do is to walk over to BC and eat at Beaches and Cream!!!!

We always eat at ESPN at least once one our trip. This may sound crazy, but they make the BEST tuna sandwich ever. It is so good, I start craving it about six months before we head back to Disney. All of the food is very good there and our kids love the kids menu.::MinnieMo

A third vote for Beaches and Cream. It can be crowded, but we were able to get a table for 6 without a wait when we went there for lunch in November 2003.

You can't go wrong with either ESPN or Beaches & Cream. I love B&C -- great burgers and shakes. ESPN has a few more choices (sandwich kind of stuff).

I like the Beaches and Cream idea. The only problem is that it is walk up, but I'm sure it won't be too big of a problem. Is the Flying Fish a dinner only restaurant or do they do lunch also?

We would highly recommend eating at the Brewery on the boardwalk. Excellent beer and burgers. The meatloaf is my favoriye. ::MickeyMo

I'm not much of a sports fan, except for basketball. We had a very nice relaxing lunch at ESPN last summer. Would do it again.

I am not a sports fan either but a few years ago i was in Epcot and wanted to take a break I walked out the International gateway and wound up in the Boardwalk area. It was a Saturday. I had a really nice lunch. When i was about halfway through my meal the basketball playoffs were starting. It was a Bulls game when Jordan was playing. Needless to say i stayed I not only had a great meal i had a great time.

I have gone back and seen one NY Yankees WS game there. Well maybe i am nore of a sprts fan than i thought.

Yacht Club hands down. A quiet break from the excitement, consistently excellent service and food, frequent menu updates.

You can't go wrong with the Yacht Club Galley. They have great food and great service with a relaxing atmosphere!

I would like to recommend The Yacht Club Galley at the YC, very nice. Another treat would be Fresh at the Dolphin resort.

I've never had to wait more then 25mins at B & C for a table and that was because we had 12 people.... I love B & C great food...

Here's another vote for the Big River Brewery. Great beer and sandwiches and, if the weather is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy the sights of the Boardwalk while you eat. very relaxing and definitely one of our favorite lunch spots at WDW.

My parents took our kids to lunch at Big River and it was a favorite meal of the trip. If it is a warm day you could also go get a sandwich at the pool and hang out there until it is time to get ready for the party, the Leaping Libations bar area has great subs, hot dogs and slushes and drinks. If you are interested in mini-golf over at Fantasia Gardens you could pick up something at the ice cream shop over at the Dolphin. Good food, great ice cream and much less crowded than Beaches and Cream.

ESPN, Big River, Beaches and Cream are all good, but if you want a really large lunch, consider walking over to the Dolphin and doing the Fresh lunch buffet. I note you're staying at BWV. If you are DVC members, there's a 20% discount at Fresh.

Ralph

We usually head to ESPN to wait for our BWV room to be ready (last year we arrived around 1:00). We've always had good food there. Big River is good too.
