We are stuck on where to eat in Epcot. We have all of our ADR's made for the rest of our trip, but can't decide on this one. Our children are 9, 6 & 3. We were thinking Teppan, but we already have a Japanese grill in our city...but we are keeping it on our list because we know we'd like the food. Coral Reef looks fun, but their menu looks limited. Also looking at Chefs de France. Any suggestions??
Here are the rest of our meals:
Lilo & Friends breakfast at 'Ohana
The Plaza at MK
Tony's Town Square
50's Prime Time Cafe
Breakfast at Cinderella's castle

Have you considered Germany and the Biergarten? The kids would like the entertainment and the food is family friendly.

Biergarten is a lot of fun. It's a buffet, so there's a lot of things to choose from. My kids loved it.

I wouldn't do Teppan Edo if you have something similar where you live.

Les Chefs looks interesting, and the Mac and Cheese on the menu looks really good.

Otherwise, my kids are dying to do Coral Reef JUST for the atmosphere.

Akershus is an AWESOME place for dinner...you can have dinner with the princesses and the food is pretty good. Actually, if it were me, I'd drop breakfast with the princesses at the castle and do Crystal Palace instead. Then, I'd have dinner with the princesses at Akershus in Epcot.

If you decide against Teppan Edo perhaps you would consider Tokyo Dining instead. We always love our meals here. The service is top notch and the food always fresh and wonderful. I recommend lunch here since the menu is the same as dinner and it is always far less crowded. Also ask for a window seat because the restaurant offers one of the best views of World Showcase.

My 2nd suggestion is Rose & Crown. We always have fantastic service here and the food is always comforting and tasty. If the weather is nice ask for an outside table for a pleasant dining experience but I always avoid it late at night because it gets very crowded as Illuminations nears.

I also agree with CathieArms, if your kids are into the princesses you can't go wrong with dinner at Akershus in Norway. IMO it is far better than breakfast at Cindy's. Try Crystal Palace instead for your MK breakfast fix.

Our favourite in Epcot is Le Cellier, we've eaten dinner there twice, and are eating lunch there in one month. We also enjoy Teppan Edo and Tutto Italia (both are repeats for us). We ate at Coral Reef on our first trip and enjoyed it, but I wouldn't consider it a must-do.

Our family with dd9, ds8, ds2 really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the Biergarten as well.

With kids, definitely Biergarten. The food is decent and the entertainment is fun.

Teppan Edo is a great place to eat. They have great food and the chefs there are hysterical. In May we are eating at Chefs de France lunch, Le Cellier lunch, and Via Napoli dinner (going to Epcot twice in our trip plus our first night we are walking over from BCV and eating at Teppan Edo). Our kids are 9 and 7 and they really like the WS restaurants. I think your kids will enjoy it also, but if you want something different then check out the menus on allears.net. Good luck and have a great trip.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think we may try Biergarten. I've heard so many great things about it. When I looked up the menu on All Ears, I wasn't too sure about it...but from everything I've read, the kids would love it.

I laugh, because I hope your kids don't mind the smell of sauerkraut. One time DH and I were eating at Biergarten, and the man next to us was a solo diner. Since I frequently travel solo, we really went out of our way to be friendly with him. Turns out he was at Epcot with his family, but his wife and kids wanted lunch in Italy but he really wanted the Biergarten. Near the end of the meal, two cute little girls came in, holding their noses the whole time. "Daddy, it smells in here!" When the girls left, he turned to us and said "See why I came here alone?" We couldn't smell anything, but those little girls did. Unless your kids are super-sensitive, I think Biergarten's a great choice!

They do have a standard kids menu at all the resturants so even the pickest eater will find something.

That is funny...It wouldn't surprise me at all to see my little one's doing the same thing. :)
My husband wants to try Chefs de France, and my kids are all about Teppan Edo (just because they've been to something similar here). I kind of wanted to try Via Napoli...so who knows where we'll end up! :)

We had a fairly boring chef at Teppan Edo and DGD (4) fell asleep before the meal was served. It wasn't too late, just 6:00 or so. But she had a full day and the chef just wasn't interesting. DH even said that he was bored. We've had a better show at our local hibachi grill. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. But DGD loved the Biergarten. I think that buffets work well with small kids. They can pick exactly what they want and how much they want. The entertainment is right up small children's alley too. She made us stay for a second show. So we had another beer and danced the night away with her. Great night with our little princess!

We were surprise to our past trip that my husband, our 5yrs son and I loved Via Napoli and LeCellier. We actually wanted to eat at Via Napoli the day after we ate there.

Biergarten is fun but if your kids are picky, might not be the best choice. For what its worth, now that Alfredos is closed my favorite spot is Chefs de France. Tepan Edo is good but unremarkable.

garden grill is awesomeeeeeee the kids do NOT have to eat the kids food either...they can have the adult stuff instead..prime steak, turkey or fish...all to die for! you can ask for the turkey to be plain if u want....i needed to for my 6 yr old and he loved it!

We did Chefs in France last trip. We were on the dining plan, and paid OOP for lunch. I thought it was just okay...and an expensive "okay!" We really went to see Remy. Our next trip I have reservations for Biergarten and Garden Grill, and still can't decide between the two. :confused3 If anyone knows what the vegetarian option is at GG I would love to know!

Fan of Biergarten here! The buffet has some roast chicken, so even a picky eater can find something. There are some non German choices. Of course my DS6 discovered that her really likes creamed herring, so something for everyone! The Band was great and they really included the children!

Reminder - there is beer at the Biergarten and it can get rowdy. We had an awful time there the last time we went - we were seated with the family from Hell. They were loud, tank top wearing, cursing, arguing drunks. They drove us crazy.
We complained to management that "solved" the problem by asking them to quiet down- which only led to them being more obnoxious.

We enjoyed the food- but sitting with others is not our favorite anymore.

We love Tokyo Dining.
