Can someone please recommend some reasonable priced family restaurants around the disneyland area (not downtown disney or either of the parks)for us to try. thanks

Mimi's.

And there are other fast food restaurants there that can be filling and affordable at the same time.

Mimi's and Millie's are across the street on Harbor. Both are very good and reasonable. I love the tortilla soup at Millie's. Farther down Harbor are a ton of restaurants. Red Robin is reasonable, there's a Baker's Square that's good.

Another vote for Mimi's and Red Robin--they are our go to restaurants outside of the park. Mimi's is walkable (and very convenient to many of the Harbor hotels). Red Robin is a short drive away. We have also hit the Denny's on Harbor and it's not bad, but the first two are better imho.

Here's some info I posted in November to a similar question. Hope it helps. :goodvibes

Ditto checking out Garden Walk. We ate at Bubba Gumps there a few months back and it was very good. We were there pretty early (for us) 6ish, I think, and it was not busy. It wasn't a holiday period though. They have alot of restaurants there to choose from. Check out their website

With all these retaurants opening up it should help reduce the wait at others as well.

If you don't mind driving, there's alot more to choose from. Just depends on what you like to eat. You can jump on the 5 fwy and go south to Main Place. There's quite a few restaurants there. They have an Olive Garden, Here's their dining link.

Also, not that much further is one of my favorite Japanese Restaurants. It's Shiki, located on Katella at the 55 (Newport) freeway. They have some of the best Japanese food around. Don't let the exterior, or location, fool you. It's really good. They've been there for over 30 years.

There are also some good restaurants, in Orange, located east of DLR, on Katella, just past the 57 (Orange) fwy. It's the Century Stadium Promenade, I think. I know there's a King's Fish House there (very good) and several others.

Also, close by, by freeway (5 south to the 22 east, first exit) is the Block at Orange There are alot of restaurants there too.

Here's there link

Have fun!

Mimi's, Millie's, are both on Harbor right across the street from DL.

Red Robin, Joe's Crab Shack, are both on Harbor just down the road a bit, you will need to drive to these.

Bubba Gump, Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, are all in the Anaheim Gardenwalk, driving is recommended here as well but it is walkable down Harbor.

There's Mimi's Cafe on Harbor.

Then if you go somewhat further, to the Gardenwalk. They have various food places. My fave is the Cheesecake Factory :)
