Where to eat in Disney Springs?

Hi all - we're currently planning our first big trip in 5 years (!!) and this is the first time in a decade without having the dining plan so we're trying to balance the budget with the wishes. We are doing things like the Star Wars Dessert Party, Be Our Guest dinner, and a dinner at San Angel merely because my son wants to eat in that atmosphere. Other nights will be counter service or winging it. My question is this - we currently have a reservation at Raglan Road for a Thursday night just because I wanted another day with something. However, would we be better off winging it at Disney Springs and noshing as we visit? I'm not attached to Raglan Road - we've been there already.

They have several counter service meals and lots of snack options. I would go to the disney website and check out all the places they have now to try!

Yes, explore the DS website and menus for the new and ever-changing/opening options. I was in Disney Springs last week and it's lovely, with lots of fun and delicious options now.

For noshing your way through, they do have:

  • Food trucks
  • Snack stands (popcorn, sweets, etc)
  • Several of the table service restaurants now have quick-service windows outside. You can get a smaller version to go! Of note are Morimoto and Frontera Cucina.
  • Several dessert-only counter service restaurants (Ghiradelli, the new french desserts place, etc)
You could keep the Raglan Road reservation until the week you are there. I'd use it as a rainy day option vs walking around with food snacks. If a sunny day-- go for the nosh!

Note that noshing may or may NOT be a more budget friendly option, but it sure is fun.

Yum!

Art Smith's Homecoming also has a "take out window" of southern specialties and Cooke's of Dublin next to Raglan Road has good QS food.
If you are going to hold a Raglan Road as a "maybe" I would cancel your Disney reservation and book a reservation through Open Table. There is no risk of a no show fee if you do that.

If you want a sit down dinner, I would recommend "House of Blues". They have an outdoor sitting area with live entertainment. The Shrimp & Grits are awesome. Another favorite is T-Rex.
