Where to eat? - HELP!

First off, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I think there are a lot of really great options between the Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach Club, and Swan/Dolphin. Are you able to visit Disney to look around? If not, I suggest reviewing Trip Advisor and All Ears to see menus, pictures, and what folks had to say. What kind of feel are you looking for?

We were married at 10 am and immediately hosted a brunch afterward (through DFTW) and had a dessert party that night. My husband and I decided we wanted to have dinner alone that night and thought our guests might appreciate some time on their own. As it turned out, our guests did many different things. Some changed and went straight to the parks, others went to Downtown Disney, and some went back to their resorts and enjoyed the pool. I think this really worked out for our guests. We did add an extra event guide to our dessert party so guests could come to either the front of the park or through the International Gateway (for those staying at or visiting the Boardwalk).

As we were at Disney for nearly a week, we did provide the rest of our schedule to our guests and let them know they could join us, depending upon when they arrived, and included the approximate cost, such as for Mickey's Christmas Party.

Good luck :)

Thank you for all of this! I did not know you could get more than one event guide to escort guests into the park for the dessert party at either entrance. Good to know!

We are looking for a nice atmosphere, somewhat laid back but not too expensive either with preferably a variety of price ranges and menu options. And also an atmosphere that has a nice or fun theme.

We are going to be there in early January for the marathon weekend, so we'll be able to check some things out at that time (including the ceremony site). I just thought it'd be good to get opinions and reviews now to be thoroughly informed.

I have a feeling, depending on what time the ceremony is, we will end up just telling our guests to meet back at the entrance at a certain time for the "reception dessert party." I'm sure they'll find something to do in the meantime whether it's eat, take a nap, swim (well, it will be December so maybe not swim), go to the park - whatever. Like you said, they'll probably enjoy the break - and if they want, they can change (which we'll have to do since we're not going through DFTW - no dress in the park).

We were also thinking of letting them know some of our plans in case they wanted to meet up with us and join us in an activity or meal.

Thanks again!
