I will b spending my 40th at DLP with my family in Feb. We are there for 3 nights (not half term) and are staying at the DLH. I will prob b getting half board plus or possbly premium if we choose to go to the Wild West show. I am after some advice about where to spend my birthday dinner on the Sat night so here are my choices..

1) Dinner at Inventions - maybe with the birthday cake that you can order

2) The Wild West Dinner show

3) The Steakhouse for dinner

4) Birthday tea with the characters but not sure if this is just for kids

As our kids can b a bit fussy we do tend to prefer buffets where everyone can find something that they like to eat and with the meals costing so much didn't want to risk the Auberge or Walts etc as the kids may end up not eating anything!! We were also considering the brunch at the steakhouse on the Sunday just b4 we head home so if we don't eat there for our dinner the night b4 we might go there anyway.

Im sure Ive read that the birthday tea at Pizza Planet has finished and that it is all at Lucky Nugget now

Also Id be reluctant to order a birthday cake at Inventions as there are so many yummy deserts there already

However Ive voted for Inventions as the food there is delicious

From your list, I've also voted for Inventions :)

I've voted fro inventions to, the food is so lovely there and the characters are so lovely as well.

I voted for Inventions too, it seems everyone else did too! I am very interested in your thread because I am going on the 10th Jan (it's my 40th on the 11th) and I'm wondering the same thing. We are staying at the DLH too! I am thinking of eating in Inventions. I don't really want to do the birthday cake bit, but my 2 year old won't think it's a birthday without one! So I am still deciding.

As you like buffets I voted Inventions, but can I add that I think you should do the Steakhouse on the Sunday as well. :goodvibes

Wow, seems like a resounding confirmation of where I secretly wanted to go to anyway so Inventions it is. I won't bother with the birthday cake due to the lovely desserts. Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I will still do the Steakhouse brunch on the Sunday and then Annettes on the Friday to save a bit of money which means I will get half board plus and then just pay the extra towards the meal at Inventions. Getting excited now

Thanks again

I am sure you will have a wonderful time, I am glad that I am not the only one who wanted to spend a big birthday at DLP, it gave me the excuse to stay at the DLH too! Have a great time.
