Where to eat for Billy Hill?

OK. We've never seen the show. But after all the great comments here, we want to check it out. I know there are a few places right around there. But isn't there one inside the showroom? Maybe I'm crazy?

You're not crazy. There is counter service inside the Golden Horseshoe. They serve fish n' chips, chicken strips, chili fries, funnel cakes and an insanely large piece of chocolate cake!

Make sure you get there early for good seats, maybe even 30 min. early. Seats fill up quickly and the line for the food can be long too.

And Mozzarella sticks. That's what oldest DD always gets.

That's a good suggestion. When we were there I was tempted to get a sundae but the line was so long that I didn't bother.

I like that idea as we love their food. But dd doesn't and MIL has bean and rice issues. Which is problematic as we live in San Antonio! The two of them can get strips and fries and Dh and I can get our weekly enchilada fix!

We got there 45 minutes early last week and it was already getting pretty crowded. By 30 minutes before the show, there wasn't anything left, so do plan on getting there early to get a good seat.

I remember getting a piece of that cake when we were last there 10 years ago--very good and very huge. In fact that's what I thought of when I saw the thread.

We now bring food in from the Bengal BBQ over near the Jungle Cruise. We aren't big fried food eaters, so once we saw 1) the length of the line inside the Golden Horseshoe and 2) the food on the menu, I decided I needed something else.

I was able to run over, get our food, and return before my sister had moved halfway through the line! It was huge!

Wow, what great info!

Anyone have an opinion on what show is the least crowded: 11:15, 1:00, 2:35, 4:00 or 5:15? (will be there alone on a Fri & Sat)

Maybe 11:15 won't work as I'll have to be there at 10:30 to 10:45 to get a seat, and the parks will still be good for commando touring?

I don't know which show is least crowded, but a few weeks ago I was there w/Califgirl & her dh (she was dreamed front row, and generously invited me to go with them). We got sundaes, and hers was better, I think (mint chocolate chip), and the cake slice was HUGE. It could easily feed 3 people, and I think it was $5.96, or something like that, so I thought it was a bargain for the size of cake.

Those mozzarella sticks are awesome. Seriously, I could eat some of those right this moment. They aren't your normal mozza sticks either, Lots of cheese, not just hollow breading tubes with a little bit of cheese.
