that is a party of 10----6 adults, 4 kids aged 7, 5, 4 and 1.5???

My dad is turning 60 while we'll be at WDW for Thanksgiving. Would like to have a nice dinner, preferably not in a park---worried about the after Thanksgiving crowds, that's nice enough to be a 60th birthday celebration, but not crazy expensive (does that exist at WDW ;) ) and is child friendly..............oh! and Christmas decorations would be a plus!

Looking for opinions. ADR date will be here within a few weeks. Can't believe Novembers hours aren't out yet, really putting a damper on planning.

thanks!!

Definitely make an ADR....crazy expensive?? well, that would be your call....here are my ideas if it were me....none in a park....alll would be nicer than your regular park or even resort restaurant....

California Grill
Jiko
Artist Point
Flying Fish

And others....check out menus on allearsnet

'Ohana. Fun for everyone in your party. And the food and decorations are great.:)

I Would Recommend Fultons If You Like Seafood, It Is Expensive But Really Good. If You Have A Annual Pass Or Dvc Member You Can Get A Discount There.

The Parks are really decorated beautifully. Go to Epcot eat at Tutto Italia. If you are buying the DDP Get the Candlelight Processional... make it a very special night. That way your price and time is all set for you. You will have a set time to eat and a set time to show up for the Christmas show. You have to book this soon though. Be on the look out. It will go quickly.

I agree 1,000% !! :thumbsup2

Fun for the kids, fun for the adults, and my DH LOVES it - guess it's kind of a "mans" meal with lots of meat! :rotfl2:

We discovered it about 2 years ago and its MUST DO every trip now!

thanks for the replies!!

Fultons is good, but we ate there last trip and felt it was good, but overpriced!!

If we do go to the parks, it'll be Magic Kingdom on that day (day after Thanksgiving), and since we won't have hopper passes this time........it's either eat at MK or find a nice place at a resort. That's why we're sorta leaning to going to a resort.

thanks again, love getting opinions from those who have been there. :thumbsup2

If you will be at MK anyway. Book California Grill for about 7:30, when you arrive check in and ask how long to wait for a window table, usually it's not long. When fireworks start at MK the lights in the restaurant are dimmed and you here Jimminy Cricket audio and can see the fireworks. It is the most special experience, even the men in my family get goose bumps !!!
Have a great time and Happy Birthday to dad.
