Can anyone recommend the best place to eat dinner directly before MVMCP? We went to MNSSHP last year and made PS's for CRT about an hour before the party started. It was very convenient being in the park when the party began. I thought possibly LTT at around 6:00pm. We're going to MVMCP on December the 6Th and it starts at 7:00pm.

Any help, as always, is greatly appreciated!

I agree: it's convenient to be right there, in the park, when the fun begins.

When we did MVMCP, we dined at Chef Mickey's, over at the Contemporary, then strolled over the MK entrance after.

We hovered around outside for about a half hour before they let us in. It wasn't the same as being inside, but it was close, and we still got a head start on a lot of people.

Tip: first thing, run back to the photo booth by "It's a Small World" to get your picture done and out of the way. There won't be anyone back there that early and you can then work your way to the front of the park and get a lot of great stuff done early.

ONe of the great things about visiting WDW in early December is that the crowds will be NEXT-TO-ZERO. The waits for the rides will be minimal -- both during the day, and during the party. Enjoy!

Just to let you know this year when you purchase your MVMCP tickets they allow you to make PS for LTT only. I am not sure if they are going to take PS for other MK restaurants at the 60 day mark but if you are seriously thinking of LTT you might want to call back and see about a 6:00 PM seating b/c I think some times are already gone.

Good luck!

Yikes, when I called for LTT several days around the 6th there was no availibility at all. I will try to call for Tonys 60 days out and hope to get in. I know that the Crystal Palace will be closed for rehab then. I'm in the same boat as you.

Are you sure about this?

I just bought MVMCP tickets yesterday and they said I couldn't make LTT PS because it was more than 60 days out.

I just made our PS for 'Ohana for 5 pm the evening that we are going to MNSSHP... we also ate there at 5 pm prior to the MVMCP 2 years ago. Had a great time, great meal, great service, and got the extra bonus of seeing the MK fireworks while dining. We look forward to eating there again!

DW and I had a wonderful dinner in the castle . We had a window table overlooking the carousel and while we were having dessert the lights dimmed and we watched the fireworks. Afterwards we were escorted out and the park was almost empty. We took pictures in front of the castle and the CM with us took one of us.

Then we took the boat over to WL to see the decorations. Took the boat back to MK for MVMCP and had a wonderful time.

We are doing MVMCP on Dec 10th. this year what day are you going?

We will be attending MVMCP on 12/20 and I would like to have dinner at CRT, but I would like our PS to be for 5:30 or 6:00 (I would really like 5:30) so that we are already in the park. Will they let us in at either of these times if you have tickets for the party so that you can have dinner and is it still 60 days out?

Thanks for the help this is our first time going at Christmas.

We have a 5p.m. seating at O'hana at the Poly before MVMCP on Dec. 15th. O'hana is one of our very favorite restaurants and we have eaten there several times on past trips before the Halloween and Christmas parties. It's always quick and easy to hop the monorail over to the MK after dinner. We don't even bother to try making PS for any of the restaurants inside the park, because we much prefer the food at O'hana.

We also prefer not to have dinner in the park. We have a 5:10 PS at Kona prior to MVMCP on 12/3/02. We plan on jumping on the monorail to take us to the MK after dinner (though I have heard that the monorail is very crowded prior to MVMCP!).

Dizzyfan,
I was wondering the same thing about MNSSHP. I just made a PS for CRT for that night for 5:15. The park closes at 6:00 and the party starts at 7:00. I told the CM that we would not have any days left on our Parkhoppers, but we did have tickets for the party. He said that as long as you have your PS and your party ticket, there would be no problem getting in early. So hopefully it will be the same for MVMCP. And yes, you can call 60 days out. (By the way, we will also be at the MVMCP on Dec. 20! We're going to try for a PS at the Crystal Palace, though. They're supposed to be opened back up by then.)
