Our first time at Portofino Bay -what's a good inexpensive place to eat breakfast?

If you have a car, I would suggest going to Denny's down the road. I've eaten breakfast at the hotels but they were buffets so they aren't really cheap.

From what I understand, nowhere at the PBH.... Cinnabon, Starbucks, etc (at CW) are the "inexpensive" places.....there's a buffet at PBH, but it's like $15/pp :confused3

Don't know how expensive Pastamore is...but a lot seem to like it...

Also Bouglerine (sp) just inside the Studios has great breakfast sandwiches (according to damo)

we don't have a car - what is the gelateria? we just want to grab something quick in the mornings.

Try Pastamore. You can check out their breakfast menu http://www.allearsnet.com/uni/menu/men_pasb.htm. Large portions so meal sharing is a good idea. Not very expensive and a good, substantial breakfast to get you through a busy morning. Don't have to drive anywhere and quick.

Gelateria is like a regular coffee house. It has great coffee, pastries, bagels, desserts later on and such. Great place to pick up a quick meal for breakfast.

As Bubba's Mom said, Pastamore in City Walk also has a walk-up breakfast counter, there is also Croissant Moon bakery just inside IOA and various Starbucks and Cinnabon's in City Walk and in the parks.

Before the club lounge, we never had a problem finding a breakfast/snack for everyone at the Gelateria.

Trattoria has a great buffet, but like mentioned it is pretty expensive. I believe it was $16 or $17 pp and drinks may have been extra.

Geleteria has great breakfast croissants, also have cereals, milk, danish etc.. and great coffee. It opens at 6 a.m. You can sit out by the harbor on tables outside- very nice! Trattoria has a great buffet. If you have annual passes use them to get 10% off. Both places are great.

Cinnabons is great but a sugar rush waiting to happen just make sure if you have kids don't let them eat too much there:dance3: :rotfl2:

It's not just the kids - you should see me after a Cinnabon and a Venti Starbucks. :)

Best place, IMO, is Boulangerie in Universal that has excellent croissants with egg, cheese and your choice of ham or bacon. They are wonderful.

Croissant Moon has similar offerings in IOA.

There was no buffet at the PBH in October :( Just an a la carte menu, but it was very tasty :)

Claire ;)

We had the buffett at HRH a couple of mornings and it was great but a bit pricey at 18.00 per person.

We ate here in Nov. It was great if you just want a quick bite. Their bagels are good. Stupid me, though, forgot to show my AP or my AAA card! :sad2:
For some reason I only remember when buying kids souv. I think I need to tape it to my forehead... lol!

Gelateria is at PB- on the harbor in the east wing. It has some indoor seating and also some covered tables outside on the harbor- very nice!
