Where to eat before or after La Nouba?

I just decided to surprise my DH with La Nouba, it'll be the 6pm show on November 9th. Originally we had Spoodles planned for that night.

We'll be at MGM that day and don't much care for the TS's there. Where else should we go either in DtD or the Boardwalk area. How crowded are the restaurants after the show (8ish). Should we eat before, like a late lunch?

Thanks so much!

We have not tried to eat afterward but it's a good bet the nearby restaurants will be packed.

It's hard to beat House of Blues. Good food, great atmosphere, and it's right next door. A early dinner/late lunch there would be perfect for the 6:00 performance.

LA Nouba is awesome. You won't want to miss any of it. I'd opt for eating in DTD so you are righ near the theater. The pre-show starts about 15 minutes before the start. It includes all of the performers parading thourgh the audience.

We've eaten at House of Blues and Wolfgang Puck and enjoyed them both. They are a few steps from the theater. Bongo's is right nearby too. I know a number of people who love Bongo's but we've not been there.

Enjoy

If it was me, I would make a stop over at Earl of Sandwich. The sweetpea loves that place. And so do I. But if you dont' want to go all the way over to the other side, the House of Blues or Wolfgang Pucks are right there.

Eat dinner first and then wander down to Ghiradelli for dessert afterwards.

We ate at Rainforest Cafe last year. La Nouba night was our big night out together. We got all dressed up, had an awesome dinner at RFC and then headed over to La Nouba. What an amazing show!

Hope you enjoy it!

I also vote for House of Blues... it's so close and the food is terrific... order the cornbread.. omg, it's sooo good. I used to go there for the cornbread alone....

have a great time... La Nouba is such an awesome show! You will love it!

We're going to the 6pm performance on 24th November and we've made a 8.30pm ADR for Raglan Road. I know it's not that close to Cirque but at least it's not all the way to Marketplace. We've never been to either Cirque or RR before so we can't wait! Hopefully then we'll finish off the evening at the Adventurer's Club - Kungaloosh!:woohoo:
In answer to your question - I personally wouldn't want to sit in the theatre for 2 hours after a big meal!

House of Blues is OK but if you really want something special, think about walking over to Portobello Yacht Club or Fulton's Crab House after. Or we've also really enjoyed Raglan Road.

I just booked the 6pm show for next month, I'm going with my best friend. I wanted to get ressies someplace because of the free dining, and I was able to get Planet Hollywood for 9pm which wasn't my first choice. But it will do!

Thank ya'll for your advice, Wolfgang's and the House of Blues both look delicious. I think we'll skip going to MGM in the morning and just make it a relaxing day. I was trying to figure out how to fit in the Festival of the Masters in DtD, so it works out perfectly. Now just to decide on the two restaurants...

We've been to Fulton's & Portabella's and they were wonderful. Raglan Road was also a lot of fun. We've recently quit drinking alcohol though and RR would be too tempting so that's out for now anyway.

I love the idea of Ghiradellis afterwards though! YUM!!
