Where to eat before Cirque?

This is my first post, so I hope I get it right!

I just booked tickets to Cirque de Soleil - 6:00 p.m. on 11/22. We are flying in that afternoon (arriving at 12:30) and would like to get checked in at the Dolphin and eat somewhere before going to see the show. Any advice on where to eat? We are looking for something that won't take too long, since we were told to arrive for the show by 5:30. There are 6 adults, a 4-yr-old, and an infant. We won't have a rental car, so any information on how long it will take to travel to DD from the Dolphin will also be appreciated. Thanks!

Here's a few suggestions...

For a sit down meal there's Wolfgang Puck Cafe. It's in Downtown Disney, near Cirque. We ate there on our last trip and really enjoyed it. Or for a quicker meal, there's also Wolfgang Puck Express. We haven't tried the express, but I've heard its good.

Another sit down Downtown Disney restuarant we really like is Portobello Yacht Club.

Some other options for quick meals:
Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club (walking distance of Dolphin). We always go there for Ice Cream, but I've heard a lot of people say their burgers are very good.

On the Boardwalk (also walking distance of Dolphin) there is the Spoodles Pizza take out window. There are tables on the boardwalk to sit at while you eat. I had a delicious Calzone from there.

Hope this helps!

We ate at The House of Blues, which is right next door to Cirque. Good food and a great location.

Enjoy Cirque. We love it!

Thanks to all....I just saw that this same post is on page 2 by someone else. I'll try to research a bit better next time!

Since your just arriving that day.....maybe you'll want to get unpacked, check out the Dolphin.....maybe just have something to eat there, I'm sure you'll be ready to eat, traveling day is so tiring...........this way you will be all settled when you come back from cirque. Im not familiar with the restaurants at the dolphin, Im sure someone here can help you!! And by the way, you are going to absolutely love Cirque......we try and see it every year and still love it.....its great
:D

If you want something fast from the dolphin before Cirque try Tubbies. If you want something elegant try Shulas.

If you're like me, appetite on a travel day is an unpredictable thing. I suggest you grab something near the hotel, then head to DD.

More important is *after* the show. I highly recommend Ghirardelli's for a post-show dessert. Their ice cream sundaes and coffees are incredibly good. And filling.
