We will be spending a day there . Food will be OOP so looking for let's say easy on the wallet yet decent Any suggestions ? :dance3: :cool1: :dance3: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I was just there yesterday, and go there often...

I ALWAYS eat at Voyager's Woodfire Pizza.(In the Waterfront area) It is cafeteria style counter service, no foil wrapped burgers or dogs in this place. It was $74 for 6 of us... 5 adult-sized appetites, and one child... including desserts & tax.

They have true woodfired pizza- a delicious sort of 'flatbread' style pizza... you get a HUGE slice (think 1/4 pizza) with fries (they've always had the BEST waffle fries, but for some reason yesterday they had regular fries... still good, though) for $6.99. They have good salads, pasta w/ different types of sauces, chicken, salmon, and fresh made desserts as well.

Kids meals run around $6... they get pizza or a hot dog or mac & cheese (GOOD mac & cheese), along with a drink, fries, and a box of raisins in a great take-home Shamu souvenir lunchbox (that is actually a worthy 'souvenir' of a child's trip).

For people with little ones... they also have Gerber baby food... happened to notice it while 'stalled' in line waiting for a fool in front of me who couldn't make up his mind.

Check out their menu on SW's website...

The deli at the Hospitality Center is always good too... limited food choices though, if you have kids. (Their only kids menu meals are PB&J or a hot dog.) But this is where the free beer is... so if you want FREE beer with your lunch, its a good stop.

No idea... I'm local... I'd suggest posting the same question on the Transportation board... I know there's an easy answer to it... I just don't know what it is.

Have a great trip!!

I'll also vote for Voyagers. Don't know about cab costs versus hiring Mears. You'd have to do some research to find what cab company is located in Orlando, call them, and ask what the fare is from Disney to SWF. Then you'd go on the Mears site (or Tiffany, or FL Tours) and see how much a limo ride is.

Easy on the wallet yet descent? We get the combo meals at Smokey Creek and share them. There is plenty for 2 people to eat if you get the 2 meat combo.( I ask for an extra plate, too. Shoot Wed. I think they put a half a roast on my plate along with a big chicken breast and a whole plate of fries. My son said he thought the man gave me more on my platter than anyone before us because I said Please and thank you and not one person in front of us did.

Same thing at Voyagers. The slice of pizza is huge so would be enough for 2 kids possibly. It comes with a platter of delicious french fries, too. Also if you get the pasta or the orange chicken it is enough for more than one person unless they are big eaters.

We hired a towncar to take us from WL to SeaWorld a few years ago and it was $50 RT with tip.
