Any suggestions on tasty healthy dining options at MK? Salads/healthy sandwiches/soup etc???

The marinated chicken sandwich at Cosmic Rays is by far the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life. Not to be missed! ::MickeyMo

The stack sandwich is a deli-type sandwich at Cosmic Ray's that's very good. Also like the cream of chicken soup & Caesar salad with chicken there.

check out the menu for liberty tree tavern lunch, they have yummy food there and it is a very relaxing sit down. :Pinkbounc

I would definitely suggest Cosmic Ray's. There is a big selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups and chicken there.

I like the salad at Pecos Bill, myself -

Kit Carson Chicken Salad - freshly tossed grilled chicken, jicama slaw, lettuce, vegetables and cheese in a lime vinaigrette $6.39; served without grilled chicken $4.69

I also like the hummus sandwich at Columbia Harbour House

Lighthouse Sandwich - hummus with tomato & broccoli slaw $6.29

Our fav restaurant in MK is now the Plaza. Nice little place off of Main Street behind the Ice cream palor. Great sandwiches and awesome ice cream (ok maybe not on the healthy track), but they do have some good sandwiches on whole grain bread and an excellent portabello mushroom wrap!! YUMMY!!

For fast food, counter service----The salad at Columbia Harbour house is very good, and so is their new england clam chowder. The rotissere chicken at Cosmic Ray's is good. Pecos Bills has a good turkey wrap sandwich. At most food places you can get carrots instead of french fries.

For leisurely sit down---Crystal palace buffet

I thought the turkey wrap served with grapes and a cup of cream of chicken soup at Cosmic Rays in Tomorrow land was excellent. After 6 in the off season it is hard to find anywhere good to eat unless you have PS cause they close down most of the places

Colony Salad... yummy.

Colony Salad - rotisserie chicken, Washington apples, sweet pecans and applewood smoked cheddar tossed with field greens in honey shallot vinaigrette $11.99

Cosmic Ray's had a great chicken ceasar salad. I had it twice in three days for lunch.

Here's another vote for the Plaze Restaurant. We tried it for the first time last month and ended up eating there a total of three times!! It is now one of our favorit places to eat. The have great sandwiches and the service was excellent. It is a very small, out of the way restaurant. Not many people seem to even notice it so we were able to sneak in at the last minute every day.

i dont know if it will be the case when you were there but we tried to eat at the plaza for dinner at 6:15 and found out they closed at 6 everyday in Sept. according to CM

That wouldn't have surprised me. My neighbors were in WDW (between hurricanes) last month and she told me a lot of counter service places were closed and the park closed by 7 on many nights because it was so slow. Would make sense that the Plaza would close early as well.

Not a great fan of fine dining at the MK, with one exception - liberty tree tavern. Great place and good food.

We love the Plaza rest also. The chicken sandwich is wonderful - it's a full chicken breast - not just a half. The fries are great - I love the little ketchup and mustard bottles.

It's a nice break during the busy day.

Columbia Harbour House had a great veggie chili and a nice green salad with chicken. I would have to say Cosmic Ray's probably has the largest selection though I did not care for the veggie burger there. I did like the regular cheese burger and the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, but I wouldn't consider those healthy though the chicken did come with green beans.

Columbia Harbor House has a very good salad I have to get every time I go. It has pinapple & chicken and sort of a sweet dressing, but not overtly sweet. It's very refreshing after a hot sweaty day at MK. They also have great clam chowder.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had to giggle at some of the food items listed since I was wondering about healthy items - french fries, ceasar salad. Maybe they won't count 'cause I'm at WDW :p (I can only dream....)
