I dont know of any decent counter places at MGM unless I only wanted fries or something.. you could always just hop on a boat and go to epic world showcase.

What about Pizza Planet? It's kind of fun, especially if you like the movie Toy Story :)

Pizza Planet was pretty good. Not fantastic pizza, but not bad for counter service.

I think you can get a turkey leg at MGM thats about 3 lbs of meat for a reasonable price. Also www.allearsnet.com has all the menu's and prices so you can pre-plan. We like the ABC commasary ( sp) but it does not always get good reviews.

I haven't been in quite some time but when we did go we liked the Commisary. Food was decent, fast service and they at least had a decent variety.

For good counter service, exit MGM & go to Epcot. I've never found any good counter service at MG except the fresh fruit on Sunset Blvd & I've had a decent cold sandwich at Starring Rolls.....

The best counter service with the biggest variety is over on Sunset, as you are approaching the Tower of Terror, on the left is a market looking area..at the back are 2 stands, one sells great pizza meals, including salads and the one next to it sells hamburgers and chicken fingers I believe. At the front of the market area is ice cream and there is a fry stand I believe and also a fresh fruit area. For our group who likes different things, it is the perfect place to grab something to eat. Hope this helps. Have fun!

Sci Fi was awesome- service was great, atmosphere was fantastic; very quiet, almost like a nap but being awake; serene, calming especially the milkshake!!!!

I second that...Sci Fi was a great lunch spot, although not counter service, the atmosphere was pretty cool!

We are not very fond of the counter service at Disney MGM. Why not take a ride on the boat to the Beach Club and go to Beaches n Cream?

My favorite counter service is the ABC commissary, where you can can "different" counter service like fish and chips, black beans, and tabbuleh wraps...

If you want the typical burgers and fries, I would say Backlot express. If you want pizza, go to the Toy Story pizza planet, salads and pizza are pretty good there.
