We have been to WDW several times and love character meals!! But, the H&V character meal at MGM is now Playhouse Disney and my kids won't be interested in that one. DD is 8 and DS 6. We usually do H&V Fantasmic dinner package without the characters, but are considering something different. Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe 50s Prime Time Cafe or Mama Melrose (Fant. Dinner Package here)- which would you choose for kids this age- never been to either. We are going at the end of Jan., so I'm not sure we'll really need the dinner package- hoping crowds won't be huge. Opinions wanted please!!! Where do you think kids 8 and 6 would have the most fun? (of course, good food is very important too!!!)

That is a easy one Sci-Fi Dine-In theater. Our kids love this place as we do to. Food is good and not to much $$.

Of those two, hands down 50's Prime Time Cafe... we go there every trip. With that said, I would also recommend Sci Fi... the atmosphere is definitely better for kids.

Thanks guys- I knew I was leaving one out- Sci Fi. We haven't been to WDW in 3 years and I haven't really been keeping up. So you would recommend Sci Fi over 50s? I'll start looking into it!

Our experience has been that 50's is better than Sci-fi. The kids really got into the manners thing at 50's and were handing out punishment to the adults as we were acting up!! Sci-fi is fun, but we have not really enjoyed the food there all that much. Next trip when we hit Sci-fi we are only going to get dessert!! We think the food at 50's is much better!!
