We are flying into MCO on a Sunday at around 6pm. We will be hungry and don't want to wait to get to our resort (ASM) to eat. Anywhere decent to get some dinner before we uber? Does it pay to walk to another terminal? I see there is a chik fil a which we like but will be closed on Sunday. Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you looking for a family-friendly place with little ones in tow, or somewhere a couple can unwind for a bit?

I believe that domestic arrivals to MCO are terminal C. The airport publishes restaurants by location.

https://flymco.com/shops-restaurants-services/?location=terminal---c&scope=dining

I’m guessing that overwhelmingly, but hopefully with some exceptions that I’m not familiar with, it’s almost all airport-quality food. 🤢

What airline are you flying in on? Don't pay attention to PP that has no idea what actually is going on. The airline will determine which Airside you come in on. You'd then have a choice of grabbing something at the airside, or if in Terminal A or B, in the main terminal. If flying in on Delta, I like Nathan's Hot dogs, if SW, I'd probably go Chipotle. In the Terminal itself, I'd probably go with Firehouse subs. If you want to sit down and have a better meal, McCoy's in the Hyatt would my choice.

Kindly excuse if my well-intentioned comment was factually inaccurate as to arrival terminal. Regardless of the level of civility on this thread… MCO still publishes a list of dining options by terminal. A hyperlink to which remains in my original post.

There are some restaurants airside. There is a Jersey Mike's in the SW pod.

Luggage. Some people think letting your luggage hang out in the carousel or unclaimed luggage office is inviting theft. YMMV

What airline?

I saw your post on the resort board. Unless you have a "starving" screaming kid go to your resort.

Agree, @Lewisc! Take some snacks with you on the plane or eat at your departure airport and then go to the food court at Music when you arrive. If you have checked bags, you're going to have to pick them up and then back track to eat. Others provided good advice on the other thread you started.

Sorry, Jetblue.

No luggage to collect and myself and two college aged children.

So an adult and 2 college aged kids flying in on JetBlue, carry-on bags only.

You will land in Terminal C.

PP gave you a link to see which restaurants are in Terminal C. While you're home, check the link to see if your people will eat at any of those restaurants. If no, stop at the places which have grab & go food as you walk through the terminal toward the exit, and pick up stuff to eat at the hotel (or eat it in the airport if you're starving).

I personally wouldn't go from Terminal C over to Terminals A/B to eat.

If you aren't going to want to eat at the hotel restaurant, you could put together a Doordash/Grubhub order. You could have it ready in the app, and place the order when you get to the hotel.

Terminal C has Shack Shack. Works if you want expensive, but good, burgers.

If so go for it. Long line. Walk on by.

Chick is closed on Sunday. Shack is likely to have a line. Ordering may be quick. Wait to pick up your paid food could be 20-30 minutes

Good advice! Thank you!
