We are heading to both and always eat in the parks. I was wondering does any one have any suggestions about either parks and there restaurants. Do they have a variety of choices like WDW and US/IOA? I like to have one sit down meal a day. So I am trying to get some ideas.

Sorry, I have no ideas on specific places to eat but just wanted to share this:
From what I remember last year at Sea World, it was way overpriced for food. (at least at all the "counter" places) I know everywhere is overpriced for food in the Disney area, but it was definatly more extreme at SeaWorld. I am not a cheap person, but SeaWorld really stuck out to me for being such a rip-off. Also, the kids meal options were non-existent. They had ONE kids meal at each place. It depended on the place for what the meal was. One place was PB&J, another place chicken nuggets, - never more than one choice (at least the counter places we visited....). This really irked me. We walked place to place to find something my son wanted. It would have been nice if they had a couple more kids choices at places. It took about an hour just to find a place for lunch. For example: they wanted $6-$7 (something like that...) for a Smuckers Uncrustable PB&J..... I refused to buy it. What a rip off - I can buy a box of 4 for $2. I know there would be a mark-up on it, but I thought that was insane. I will end up bringing lunch (at least for my son) to SeaWorld for our upcoming trip.
Also, SeaWorld is kind of lacking in the service department. There is a huge difference in the personalities of employees at SeaWorld and Disney.
Not to say we didn't enjoy SeaWorld, we really did. The only things that irked me about the place was the price of food and the employees.

hi
at sea world we usually eat counter service at the hospitality deli, it is out of the way and cool. you can sit inside or out by a water feature - very relaxing after charging around. in the same area is the complimentary brewery offerings.
much the same for busch gardens we eat in the crown colony counter service cafe which is atatched to the complimentary bar service. we sound like avid drinkers!! its just that these places are cool and far from the madding crowd!! i always feel too dishevelled to do a sit down meal at either place, though if you have a pass dining with shamu is supposed to be very good. the crown colony at busch has a sit down restaraunt as well.

the Zambia Smokehouse at BG has great BBQ, if you're into that. at SW we usually eat at the Spice Mill for lunch, and have dinner off-site. dining with Shamu is very good, if you make reservations in advance. it sells out generally every day.

This was pretty good, just order one sampler platter to share with chicken, ribs and beef. It is enormous. We had way to much and could not finish it.

And you get the added bonus of sitting in the shadow of ShriekRa where it plows through the water at the end. We got some great video of the cars as they went past.

:jumping1:

We usually eat at Shark's Underwater Grill at Sea World. It can get busy there so you would want to make a reservation at Guest Services (or the restaurant itself). We usually just sit in the bar, it is a full menu there but you can't see the shark tank from the bar. Anyway, we felt that pricing wise it was average for a sit down restaurant at a theme park. Sea World has more food options than Busch Gardens, but we always end up at Shark's.

At Busch Gardens we have eaten at the Crown Colony Restaurant (which is the upstairs of the Crown Colony House. Just wanted to add that it is a sit down/full service, but it is just okay... We didn't realize that they had added the BBQ restaurant (as that is a new addition with the Sheikra area). Having been to BG MANY times (living locally) I never even thought to look for new places... anyway, we walked by there and were so excited to have a new option. Seems like others enjoy it so we will defiently try it out next time we go...

About the crown colony house restaurant, we want to eat there Christmas day. Can I make a reservation ahead for this or do I have to wait until we are are Busch that day and then go to the restaurant first thing in the morning (on Dec 25) and then make it then?

We love BBQ so that is great and my guys are so looking forward to Sheikra! They have turnes into coaster chasers. They have gone on kraken when my mom took them but they have never been on it with my husband. They are one up on him. Its kind of a funny joke in our home. We were to busy getting the rental home we own together. My kids came home and bragged about how great it was that it made my neice cry when she was on it. Thanks for the food reviews it is always good to have a heads up when food is involved. I like to have some idea because it is expensive and you want the best for your money. Now just sitting and waiting 3 more months.

We ate at the Sharks underwater grill in Sea world
and sat right next to the tank

We loved it

Quick question about the BBQ is it wet or the rubbed one? Sorry but I love one and dislike the other a lot so just wondering? We will go any way because my family will eat both just I am the picky one. It is nice to know ahead of time.

Thanks for this thread since we're going to SW on Wednesday.

One quick question - how early can I make reservations for the Shark tank for lunch?

We go to Sharks underwater Grill at Seaworld, the food was fab and it was certainly a different experience eating beside them!
We found the crown colony to be great at Bush. It was served family style and the food was plentyful and delicious!
Claire.

We also ate at the place that gave free beer samples. It is near the Clysdales--sorry I don't know the name of it. The food was very good--better than I expected for a park. My husband had beef stew in a huge bread bowl. My grandson and I shared a large turkey sandwich. The turkey was just cooked and carved in the serving line. It was delicious and plenty for both of us.

the food at the Zambia Smokehouse is done with a dry rub, but they have Amber Bock BBQ sauce at the end of the serving line if you want to wet it up. we ate there again this afternoon. SW also has a BBQ restaurant but we like the one at BG better. Shark's underwater grill is very cool, but it's not inexpensive. the last lunch we had there was $70.00 for the 3 of us. make your lunch reservations quickly. we usually go at opening for the first dolphin feeding, then make reservations on the occasion we eat there. it fills up quickly.
