I really enjoy doing as Perdie suggests. The restaurant is great, and the view cannot be beat, IMHO. Be aware though that everyone eating there wants one of those prime tables, so they are allocated by random chance. I've been lucky enough to get one of those tables a little bit more than one-third of the time. Even if you don't get one of the tables with a view of the show, they typically let you stand at the back of the terrace during the show. It's not quite the same as watching the show while comfortably seated, eating blackberry crumble and sipping a Latte, but no worse than what you'd have to deal with to watch Illuminations if you weren't having dinner at Rose and Crown.
