We are going down in Sept and we will be using the DDP and this will be our first time going to the water parks. So I am left with the dilemma of where do we eat? I am sure they have counter service there, but do we try to rush around in the morning or in the evening and to a sit down, or just use 2 counter services that day and use 2 sit downs on another day? Decisions, decision :confused3

Where are you staying? Is there a table service restaurant in the resort?

They have some pretty good CS at both TL and BB. I would use CS there then choose a great TS at one of the resorts for the afternoon. There are many at the BW area and at DTD that would give you something to do around dinner time. Also, if you have park hopper tickets, you could go to Epcot and try another great restaurant there.

The water parks generally close at 5:00. It is a good day to do a TS dinner at a resort hotel as you can take a bus straight from the water park to the hotel you want to dine at. We like to do Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary and then we can walk over to MK to get a bus back to our hotel. It is also easy to take the monorail back to MK to then take a bus to your hotel if you dine anywhere at the Poly or GF. Or, go to Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge (one of our favourites) and then take the boat over to MK to get the bus back to your hotel.

This will be my first time doing the water parks also. I was figuring. I would get a small bite to eat.(I bring breakfasts bars from home.)Get there @ opening, then leisurely head back to the resort, after about 3-4 hours. Get dressed, head on down to downtown Disney for Earl's, or Wolfgang Express. Shop, browse, take in a movie then dinner @ Raglan rd, or Wolfgang's Cafe. I don't think this plan will be very stressful @ all. Good luck whatever you decide.

NhDisneylover-So you bring your clothes to the waterparks to change into. They have, showers, and blowdryers there? I am thinking, that would be even easier to just to get changed there, but only if they have big enough facilities ,and it is private. But then again, bringing soap, makeup and a change of clothes for 2 adults, and 2 kids. Maybe not.:confused3

They have showers, etc (not sure about blow dryers--I never use one so did not look) and you can rent a locker (I think it was a dollar--not much ITA I jsut looked it up and it was $5.) to keep your clothes in. We just wore our regular clothes over our suits, stuck them in the locker for the day and then played all day (had cs lunch there) The second day we went we didn't bother with the locker--no one bothered our stuff which was not realy valuable anyway.. We brought one small bag with us that had our water park refillable mug, hairbrush, sunscreen and a plastic bag to put the wet swimsuits in at the end of the day. At closing we all took quick showers and got dressed. I never wear much make up so that was not a big deal for me but I guess I can see where that would be an issue for some.
