Where to donate clothing?

We are going to go through my mom's clothes soon (the thought of it makes me cry)...wondering if anyone knows of a charity specifically for "older women"...mostly casual (not sporty though) and all in very good condition. Made me so sad to see she had some things she never got to wear because she bought them right before the aortic dissection in Dec. 2003.

call your local United Way office. They are plugged into a multitude of social services that need special items. We have one agency that recycles gently worn professional clothes to folks who can't afford them for interviews and on the job. If the clothes are in excellent condition and a larger size, they will be greatly appreciated.
(we found that the itsy bitsy sizes 1-3-5 didn't move as fast).

Thanks...my mom was thin all her life...but I'm sure there's someone out there who can use them!
