Hi there,

We go in July and looking at the forums it is best to book some of the restaurants. We are staying in a villa but want some dining in WDW. Any ideas, we have a daughter age 4. Want a decent early evening meal, but somewhere where our 4yr old and us feel comfortable - thought abaout Le Cellier? Any ideas whare to go for a fab character breakfast for our 4yr old or is the teaparty or icecream thing better? Also thought about going to Sci Fi for lunch.
Any suggestions wud b great. And how do i go about booking these things please?

Thanks Karen ( cant wait!!!!) :wave2:

Hi Karen  Welcome to The DIS :disrocks:

We are trying Le Cellier with an 11 month old in October :)

There are loads of choices for a great character breakfast it really depends which characters your DD likes, let us know and we can make some suggestions :)

To make any dining ressies you just call 001-407-939-3463 :teeth:

Thanks for that. Do u think we'll have any trouble getting ressies? Do u need to give a credit card? My daughter will luv any of the characters i think, but probably the more traditional ones like Mickey, Pluto, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh etc, anything thats in full costume, not someone that looks like theyve just put make up on to be in character, if u know what i mean. Any other dining experiences u could recommend wud b great.

Thanks Karen :yay:

You can book dining ressies 180 days out, so I would book them now :) I haven't been in July before so I don't know how busy it would be.

You could try Crystal Palace at the MK that has Winnie the Pooh and friends or Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary or Donalds Breakfastaurus at AK. Here is a list of Character Dining http://www.wdwinfo.com/Just_for_kids/character_dining.cfm

Hi Karen and welcome,

I would suggest you consider a meal at the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. They do a character breakfast and a Clambake dinner so you could try one (or both :) ) It's a buffet so there would be something for everyone - even non fish/seafood eaters like me. It's very informal and you can walk there from Epcot.

The Sci Fi is a novelty and worth seeing once, but be aware the food and service can be poor. But if you go without any expectations, just to have a fun meal, you'll be ok.

Enjoy your holiday.

Hi Karen and welcome to the Dis :thumbsup2

My DDs love all of the character meals. You can't really go wrong to be honest, but their particular favourites are:

Crystal Palace This is a great respite when in the Magic Kingdom. The food is lovely with a great selection and Winnie the Pooh characters. Lovely setting.

Chef Mickey's In many ways the original and the best :thumbsup2 Great food, lots of fun, quite noisy but this adds to the great atmosphere and character interaction. This is my DDs favourite but I have done it too many times over the past few years to get any more excited about it ;)

Cape May Cafe My favourite with a lovely setting, fantastic food selection and the best character interaction I have experienced.

Have fun choosing!

My DDs love Le Cellier :)

Here they are with their favourite Le Cellier desserts. They make children very welcome.
