Where do you recommend for dinner if spending a whole day at MK? We will have had a Ponderosa buffet breakfast which with an ice cream at lunchtime should keep us going till early evening.

With DS in tow (aged 15) a character dinner is not really an option - he would NOT be impressed!

Any recommedations - either in the park or close by?

Julie

Tony's Town Square in the MK is lovely - good Italian food

Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian - burgers, sandwiches and the like.

'Ohanas at The Polynesian - All you can eat meat, turkey, pork, beef and shrimp cooked on an open fire-pit on 3ft skewers with other little appetizers again all you can eat. This is one of my favourite inexpensive restuarants at Disney.

Concourse Steakhouse - Great steaks but a little more pricey

If you want more of a fine dining option let me know as there are plenty of those too :teeth:

Hope that helps

Within MK I agree you are quite limited.

I ate at Liberty Tree Tavern several years ago for dinner and was not impressed at the quality of the food. I have not been back there; it was not to our tastes.

I recently ate at the Plaza Restaurant which is excellent if you are prepared to eat essentially fast food - burgers, club sandwiches, etc (served to your table) - but you do have to eat relatively early; I believe the last seating is around 5.00pm.

I also ate in Concourse Steakhouse which I must say was excellent as always. It is a good bit pricier though than the MK eateries suggested before, and is definitely a little more formal.

I have never had any inclination to try Cinderella's. What about the Crystal Palace - do they serve dinner? I know that it is a buffet but our experience of buffets at Hollywood and Vine was very good. Worth considering.

We are considering Cinderella's Royal Table at MK for dinner on our last night.

Can this be recommended ?

rannoch

Crystal Palace and LIberty Tree Tavern are both character meals which I think Julie was trying to avoid - but I also love them both.

Personally I don't get a formal feeling from Concourse Steakhouse I've eaten there twice before and a lot of the guests are in park attire - shorts and t-shirts etc.

I've heard that the food in Cinderellas is good for dinner and lunch and they don't have the characters then either.

We have eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table for both lunch and dinner.

The menu for both sittings is essentially the same but with slight variations depending on whether you are eating lunch or dinner.

It makes a pleasant change to take a break from a warm, busy park and eat in the relaxed atmosphere of the castle. Last time we had lunch there we overlooked Fantasyland, lovely!!

I would definitely recommend eating dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table, it really is an experience. 3 courses plus unlimited fizz and tip was $70 for 2 but it was lovely, gorgeous food and the atmosphere is wonderful. All the servers are dressed up and call you M'Lord or M'Lady. Well worth the dosh.

Another vote for Tonys, kinda busy but worth the wait. :D

I believe that when you call to book a PS you only say early middle or late for the time.
What times does "early middle late" mean for breakfast and for dinner.

Narcoosees at the Grand Floridian. Book for a time that coincides with the firework display and the electric water show. Brilliant view from verandah.
On my next visit at end of this month we have booked the California Grill on the top floor of the Contemporary Resort.
Both are only a short monorail or boat ride from MK
