Okay, dining experts. I'd love your opinion. My youngest DD will be turning 3 the day before we leave Disney. Her birthday is on a Sunday and we leave to come home on Monday. Obviously, I want to pick a spectacularly perfect place to celebrate. This is also our first time visiting WDW.

By the way, I want to do CRT breakfast on our first full day there, so it can't be that. And I'm not sure if she'll be full-on into princesses at that point.

Where would you choose to celebrate your daughter's 3rd birthday? Also, would you do lunch or dinner??

Thanks! :goodvibes

Crystal Palace as a first choice. My kids at that age were very familiar with the Pooh characters. My second choice would be Chef Mickey's. You get five mainstay Disney characters at the meal. I personally don't think the food is as good as CP, but my daughter had a great time there when she had just turned three.

I would pass on CP espec if it is after you have done CRT. It was a total let done for us and the characters took forever to get to the tables. We nearly missed pooh and tigger and had to plead with host to have pics and autographs in entry way. Kids LOVED CM with all the dancing and participation that kids can do

We celebrated our middle daughters 1st and 2nd birthday at Crystal Palace. They love it there. We thought the character interaction was great. When you are seated tell the hostess you are there to celebrate a birthday and they put streamers and confetti on the table and give the birthday child a cupcake and sing "Happy Birthday". Pooh happened to come to our table when we were singing. That was a surprise because Tigger came back to the table also.

I am partial to Crystal Palace as well. The food is good and varied and thecharacter interaction is great. We did a late lunch last summer and it was perfect! Crowds were down a bit in the restuarant and we were totally recharged after a fun meal.

Thanks everyone!! We were planning on CP anyway, so maybe I'll do an ADR for her birthday.

However, I was also considering Hoop-de-doo musical review for her birthday celebration, since we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and it's a quick boat ride over to Ft. Wilderness. They probably wouldn't be able to give her any direct attention though, right?

Well- u can't guarantee that they'll give her direct attention but they do a portion where they celebrate any birthdays/anniversaries and many of the characters/performers will come around to those tables celebrating something- so it just totally depends. I'd say there's a good chance someone would come over to her though. But even if they don't- it's still a fun time.

Thanks! That doesn't sound like it's possilbly much less than what they would do at CP in terms of attention. My DD LOVES music and dancing, even at 2.5, so I think she would enjoy this. And, I like that it is a nice boat ride there and back. :thumbsup2

ETA: We will still do CP though, definitely. I'm just leaning on something more interactive for her actual birthday.
