Where to buy tickets from?

I'm wondering where I should buy our MYW tickets w/hopper option. Should I just wait and buy them when we check into our resort? Should I pre-buy them from a place like Maple Leaf tickets? What kind of ticket works with the FastPass system? Do those machines only take the credit-card like ticket? Thanks for any info!

We got ours at Undercover Tourist and got a good deal. The fp machines take any valid WDW ticket be it the paper or credit card type.

Most places sell only the multi day passes.

You will definitely save money by getting your tickets in advance, be it from the official Disney website, Undercovertourist.com, mapleleaftickets.com or ticketmania.com.

All these are authorized ticket brokers and the DIS'ers recommend them highly. We used Ticketmania and had no problems.

Generally, you need to buy a 4-day or more ticket to see any savings. mapleleaftickets.com, ticketmania.com, and undercovertourist.com all get regular high recommendations. It is worth checking each site because sometimes one will offer a deal on shipping - otherwise, the prices tend to be pretty comparable.

If you or anyone in your group is active or retired militiary, you can get your tickets on a base or post for a 10% discount and no tax. You can also do this at the Shades of Green resort once you're in WDW. Kind of a long shot, but everybody should know that this option is open to them if they are active or retired.

I'd really like to get the non-paper kind of tickets..the ones that are like a credit card. Who sells those kinds of ticket?

The credit card type of ticket you can only get once you check into your resort. The card becomes your room key, charge card for onsite purchases (if you choose) and park tickets. We had tickets like this the first time we went and they were very durable. The second time we took the kids we had the paper type tickets and they were fine too! I just kept them together in a ziplock baggie and we never had problems. Personally I would opt for the tickets you pay less for and spend the difference on something for yourself at Disney.
