Where to buy Pal Mickey?

On our arrival day we will not be using park tickets. Is there anywhere that I can buy Pal Mickey without going in any of the parks? I would like to get him on arrival day so we don't have to take time on our "park day". Also, if I get him on ebay, is the Mickey in the tux the current model they are selling in the park? Thanks so much. This is our first trip--June 2007--staying in the Polynesian. Can't wait!!!

The tux is not the new Pal Mickey. The New version is dressed in the Sorccers(sp) outfit. It has the the Hat and robe. The tux was for the 50th celebration. Bought our in OCT2006 (SM version)and we thought it was cute. Althought there are times he doesnt have much to say name Epcot atleast our experience anyway. The most was said at MK.

I got my niece Pal Mickey on Ebay last Christmas. At the time the tux one was much more expensive, so I just got her the original version and it worked great. Only problem with Pal Mickey is it can be hard to hear him when you're walking through the park. LOL It was kinda funny actually, my niece (she was only 4 at the time) didn't fully get the concept, so every time he jiggled and giggled she'd say, "There goes Mickey again!" but she wouldn't unclip him to hear what he was saying. LOL

The original (I call him "Classic") Pal Mickey had a softer voice than the newer ones, which are easier to hear in noisy locations

I still carry our "Classic" Pal with us, however.
(He's made about 9 trips since we got him.)
I always clip him to my shirt collar just under my neck, or wear him in the same place on a lanyard.
Not only can PM "see better from up there" but when he wants to tell me something, I just flip him up to my ear. No need to unclip him.

Is there enough of a difference between the original Pal Mickey and a newer one? I bought one for our trip in 2004, so I was wondering if I should bring him or buy a new one for 2007?

As I said, we still only have (and bring with us) our original "Classic" Pal.

But you should be able to buy the 50th Anniv. TUXEDO (HCoE) Pal for about $40 from a Disney outlet store right now.

The Tux version (and, I'm told, the newest Sorcerer's Apprentice "YoaMD" Pal) speaks a bit louder, says a few more things (and "sings" a little bit, too).
He will "know" about a few more attractions at the parks (Soarin', EE, LMA Stunt for HCoE Pal-- add Turtle Talk, Clam-Mobiles, Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor for YoaMD Pal) but that's not exactly a major difference.
Its up to you and your budget.

BTW, there are 2 new OUTFITS for Pal Mickey available now at DTD.
These add to the 4 other outifts that have been available for about a year.

A PIRATE outfit (in honor of PotC) and a SANTA CLAUS outfit.
Each is $12.

New Pal Mickey can be bought at the giftshop in Pop Century.

Great I want to surprise my dd5 with Pal Mickey at our hotel. Now I just have to figure out how to sneak it up to the room .
