Where to buy DVC-Discounted AP?

I really appreciate the fact that some people have talked to MS and verify that we'll get an AP discount starting January 2. Since I plan to check in to BWV on that day and want to buy that discounted pass ASAP, where can I get it with the discount? Do I still have to go to IG, as I used to, or is it possible I could get it at BWV now, as long as I have my DVC card? And what about those people going later-can they buy the AP voucher at the Disney store with the discount? I heard rumblings that members may only be able to get the discount by mail order. Hope that's not true. This is such great news-the gods are with me! I was already planning to buy an AP on January 2-now I'm even more anxious.

I would think you could buy the DVC discounted AP certificiate at BWV maybe.

but I bet you still need to take it to guest services or the ticket booths to get in activated.

So I would just wait and buy it then.

sometimes DVC discounts don't apply online - I know the Disney store online always had a problem with mind.

Our DVC discount was never good for online or telephone purchases, only in the store.

Disney Vacation Club Members and their immediate family (living in the same household) are eligible to receive discounts on new and renewed 2005 Walt Disney World® Annual and Premium Annual Passes beginning January 2, 2005.

The certificate can be redeemed at any Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket window by presenting the exchange certificate, your Disney Vacation Club Member ID card and all adults must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household. The Pass is good for 365 days from exchange certificate redemption. Renewals will be valid for 365 days from original Pass Anniversary Date.

some of the people who might like to buy the AP don't live with me - but are listed as associate members - it didn't say anything about them.

so I was wondering - if only I can get this discount? Not my mother who comes with on just about every trip.

How about buying the DVC-discounted pass at the Orlando airport? In the past, i've read where some posters do this.

I need to have the AP in place when I check into the AK lodge the night of Jan 13th to get the discounted room rate. We land at MCO about 8pm and I wasn't planning on stopping at Downtown Disney or the parks to purchase. Any thoughts? If I order the voucher online on Jan 2nd, I have to worry about it getting to me before I leave.

Associate Members, not living at the same address as the owner, are not entitled to any the AP discounts according to my discussion with a CM this morning. I was told they had no answer to that exact question on the Q & A sheet they were given, thus she said as of now no provision for Associate Members to receive the AP discount unless they lived in the same residence as the owner. Lets hope this changes as I have titled everything in my kids names and I am the Associate Member.
