Where to buy Disney DVD's?

I am really trying to get a copy of Beauty and Beast and some other fave classic Disney movies. Anyone know a good place that carries Disney movies? I know Disney puts older movies in the "vault" but do ANY stores still have a copy or two of the older stuff?

When Disney "vaults" a title, the stores are supposed to return them. I would check amazon.ca to see if the titles you want are currently available -- Beauty and the Beast isn't. Otherwise, you'd have to go the ebay route.

I think I have seen a couple of older titles for resale at Blockbuster or something...but we couldn't even RENT Beauty and the Beast for the longest time b/c someone else had rented it and not returned it; the staff said some people were willing to pay the "replacement" fee to own it, as it was the only way to get it...

Try Amazon.ca I have found numerous Disney titles there that were sent back to the vault.

I don't know if they have any locations in Toronto, but I tend to have good luck at The Beat Goes On, a second hand store selling cd's and dvd's. The have a web-site where you can search what is in stock at particular locations and create a wish list. The "vaulted" titles usually go quickly and are on the expensive side (sometimes $30 or so) but at least you can find them!
