Where to buy Disney Dollars?

I called our local Disney Store, looking for Disney Dollars. They said that they don't carry them anymore, only gift cards. I asked where I could find them and she said, "You can order them from DisneyWorld, but the shipping is $15. You can order them from Disneyland, but the shipping is $10."

IT'S PAPER!!! Why so much for the shipping?

Does anyone know of another way for me to get ahold of some Disney Dollars?

The information you were given is correct....Disney dollars were discontinued at the Disney store this past weekend. You can only get them in the parks or through mail order through WDW or Disneyland and pay the $10-$15 shipping charge.

I was at Disney Store last night and they said any location that had any left were told to send them back ASAP.

I am sick over this, my friend was in the world 2 weeks ago and I would of had her pick some up for halloween, DD's b-day and stocking stuffers. Plus DD spent a stack of dollars earlier this year, I should have just 'recycled' them back into my purse!

I'm not sure why they stopped selling them
When I asked the sales associate she said she wasn't sure but thought they wanted to streamline everything more towards the giftcards.

I was able to buy some of the last ones from our store before they stopped selling them to put in my girls' surprise baskets for our upcoming trip. It is disappointing, I know

I was told it was just easier to keep an accurate count on the cards and with the dollars only managers could get them out for customers (since counts as real cash). I wish we did still have the dollars but was told there would be many exciting choices for gift cards soon.

Crap ~ just confirmed this at our local store too. What a stupid decision. Kids going to Disney don't want a gift card, they want the dollars
It would be one thing to stop them altogether, but they are still selling them there, makes no sense to me.

I guess I will have to buy a years worth when we are there....we give them for teeth that fall out, Easter, stockings, etc. Now I h ave none to give to my kids over the next 30 days as clues that we are actually going

I tried to buy some this weekend at our disney store and was disappointed that we couldn't buy them. If I had known that this summer when we were down town disney--I would have give DS9 regular money or stocked up! He loves getting the FUN disney money--for loosing teeth, stockings, easter eggs, birthday etc. In fact it was one of the things one his list for his birthday and Christmas. Now I have to find someone who will be going to disney to pick up some disney dollars for me. The last thing I want is my son using gift cards...

You can probably get them at World of Disney. When I purchased them on the last day, this past Sunday...she said that you would still be able to spend them at the Disney stores and of course, the parks. They were bummed about it, too.
