It is easy for my daughter, they have Ltd. too, but do they have any good shops for boys that age??

I can't find anything that looks normal for him.

My DS is 7 and I've found that he's ok with the clothes from Old Navy. He's getting very opinionated in his old age :rolleyes2 Right now he's all about the hoodies because its cold out and he's really skinny and just about all of their jeans have the adjustable waists.

I bought all of my son's jeans from the Gap because of the adjustable waistbands. (This was before I lived in a location that had a Gap). After Gap came around, we did have problems finding jeans there in my sons size (he is super thin), but we found tons of shirts that he liked...and they were really cheap. They also held up well during washings (and I always hang dry shirts).

Unfortunately, there are no specialized boys shops like they have for girls. :confused3 Would be nice to not have to run all over the mall and town looking for a complete wardrobe. Oh well, my son is almost into the mens sizes. Time to celebrate :cheer2:

We find Macy's and Kohls to be the best bets--especially sale and clearance--the greendog brand from Macy's is the least expensive and best quality for the money. We find Macy's to be less expensive than the discounters in combining sales with 10 off 25 coupons that are occasionally seen.

I've always had great luck with Penney's, Aero, Old Navy, Dillards', Boscov's, and we buy a ton of my son's clothes at Kauffman's, but I don't think their national. They compare to a Dillards though. If you've got a Kids R Us clothing store in your area, you might check there too. When my son was little, I got a good bit from there. They carry the Nike, Adidas, And 1, etc...I got lots of long sleeve Tees from there and well as sweatshirts and other types of athletic wear.

ONCE in awhile I find something I like at Sears. I always check there, but I don't always buy.

Talbots Kids is having a great sale right now. I got my son turtlenecks and shirts for $3.25, sweats for $5.00 and nice cords for around $7.00. I don't know how long the sale lasts.

old navy is good i like gap to but they are to expensive
we even found some amazing pants at childrens place
they were just plain dark denim jeans on sale 9.99

I like The Childrens Place. Jeans are usually 2 for $25.00. The sizes can run a little bit off so make sure he tries them on before purchasing. They really do have some cute clothes for the "modern boy". :cool1:

I shop at Old Navy for my son. Right now they have great clearance sales. I just got he and my daughter 9 items (shirts and jeans & a down filled winter jacket) for only $23.00 for next year.

I also find jeans and tees at Kohls and Sears.

My little brother (10) loves Gap Kids and Penney's. Gap has some awesome sale stuff. He loves button down shirts and those t-shirts with "funny" sayings on them (like "homework is for people with no life" or something like that) from Penney's.

my son gets the majority from walmart-all very good quality (and many of the same brands carried elsewhere at much higher prices)-we have gotten him some fleece on sale at old navy. when he's needed fancier stuff (dress pants, collard shirt with coordinating tie and vest) i just keep an eye out for the stuff around christmas and easter-put it in the closet till needed.

actualy dd (11 1/2) finds alot she likes at walmart too (she does like the fleece at old navy). she has alot of friends who will only wear certain brands or from certain stores, but when she is given a budget she finds she can find alot more of very similar clothing at walmart.

with ds esp. his pants get short so quickly on him i can't see putting out a huge amount of money. the pants we bought for school in august were "high water" by october :)

Lands End. The clothes are really well made. They wear like iron, and are reasonable. Also not "trendy" :thumbsup2

Lands End-check out their Overstocks online-great deals! Also, Childrens Place.

Old Navy and Gap Kids for adjustable waist jeans. I also like their hoodies. Their T shirts lately have been a little weird so I have been getting my son T shirts and stuff from Nordstrom.

I like Old Navy, Gap & Lands End for my 8 year old.

Gap
Old Navy
Oshgosh outlet
Kohl's
Dillards
Foley's/Foley's Kids

My DS is very thin and dislikes "fussy" clothes--stuff with a lot of zippers and/or buttons. What he loves is anything sports-themed.

We shop at Penney's, Sears, Kohl's and Target. Target is great for T-shirts, pajamas, sweats and socks.

The Children's Place has nice clothes for boys. My sister buys many things there for her ds. I have bought things there for my son, too. He seems to really like their sweats. They are very comfy and wash well.
