I know a lot of you are non-smokers and I'm sorry if I upset anyone but I wondered if it was possible to buy cigarettes in any of the parks, resorts etc. Are the prices seriously hiked up?
Many thanks,
Claire

I don't smoke but I would bet they hiked up. Everything else why not cigarettes? I would be very surprised if they even sell them in the parks.

a few years ago i was at wdw w/a smoker and she was unable to find cigs anywhere on wdw property (although we did not check dtd or pi)... gum is also not sold on wdw property... so, stock up before you go!

Hello,
as far as finding cigarettes, they sell them in the hess gas stations that are on disney property, if you have a rental car you will be able to get them, if you dont then there is no bus that goes there. but i was just there yesterday, and i am not a smoker, but i did notice they had cigarettes. hope that helps.

I too, am a smoker (unfortunately). I'm pretty sure they don't sell them in the parks, but they did sell them in resort giftshops. They are hidden behind the counters so you have to ask - buy before you get there if you can.

There's the convience store by the entrance to BWI. There's also a cigar shop in the west side (next to Cirque). You can buy cigars and some cigarettes. My friend used to buy Dunhills there. And yes, they're not cheap, but cigarettes are not cheap in general. I would buy some before you go and just use your own supply.

I know they used to sell them at MGM. They were at a merchendise area near the sound show.

Yes, the resort gift shops have a limited selection of cigarettes that they keep hidden. Two years ago they were 5.00/pack (which is a bargain compared to NYC price of 7.50). The store in DTD has a bit better selection. I had heard that cigarettes are not sold on WDW property but that is NOT true.

Gum, however, is not sold on property nor at MCO so if you or anyone in your family needs it for your flight stock up before you leave home.

Smoker here! I just ordered a carton to pack with us for our trip next week. They are VERY expensive at the gift shops and I would also suggest packing them and lighter/matches too.

If you're going to have a car, there's a smoke shop on 535, about a mile away from the Crossroads shopping center. (same side of the street as Crossroads, in the direction that is AWAY from I-4)

Thank you for all your replies on what I thought might be a touchy subject with some. Over here in the UK we pay $8 a carton so nothing suprises me. i will buy at the airport before I come. Thanks guys,
Claire

I believe you posted a quesiton about grocery stores in another thread. Why not just buy a few packs or a carton at Publix?

Not being a smoker myself and not knowing how much you smoke, I am not sure if a carton is too much or not enough.

I do believe that the US name brands are quite expensive with all the taxes and tariffs on them.

They sell them in England at the World Showcase in EPCOT. You have to ask. They are very well hidden.

I only know for sure that they have them at the resort gift shops, they must be requested specifically, and they run about $5 a pack. We'll be bringing our own from home.

There should be no reason to apologize for asking the question - nor should it be a touchy subject. There are designated areas for smoking - as long as you stick to them no ones feathers should be ruffled.
The last time I was at Epcot I thought they sold them in England but I was told that they stopped that and you had to buy them at a resort.
Along with everyone else here, I would suggest you buy them prior to arriving on the property.
Have a good trip.

As everyone else has said, they are not available in the parks, but are available at the resort gift shops hidden behind the counter, you must ask.

We have pretty decent cigarette prices here at home, so I always just bring two cartons with me. (Not that I smoke that much, but if a pack gets lost or wet, etc.) I always bring two packs into the parks with me. Nothing worse than losing a pack and having to leave the park, go all the way to a resort and find the store for a pack of cigarettes.

One time I had the most frustrating evening at the Magic Kingdom. It came a DOWNPOUR. Everything got soaked, even my sealed pack of cigarettes in my daypack.

Even if the cigarettes hadn't gotten wet, it was raining so hard nothing would have stayed lit anyway. I finally made it over to the Polynesian, bought a pack, (Almost $6.00 with tax), then got outside, to a designated area that was covered somewhat (still pouring) and realized my lighter was soaked too, so had to get back inside to buy a lighter.

After all that I didn't feel like heading back to the park, (was almost closing time anyway). Called WDW-Dine, got me a seat at Ohanna's and had a nice dinner.

I hope they don't sell cigarettes in the parks.

I don't smoke, but was that comment really necessary. Obviously you did not know the answer the OP's question so just stay quiet.

They do sell them at Hess for the same price as any off property gas station, infact everything at Hess is at real world prices as opposed to everything else on property, Heck whe camping i go there to buy my ice too, it was cheap!

Fizz,

Why not just by a carton in the airport on the way out - duty free prices and all, would surely be the cheapest option for you?
