What are our options for buying breakfast in or within walking distance of the parks?

We are considering staying at the residhome because it is coming up about £300 cheaper than the next cheapest option and it is very convenient for taking the RER to disney, but we like having breakfast made for us so are looking at options to buy breakfast.

We have dream passes and want to use EMH so would probably want a mixture of eating early before EMH and eating later afterwards.

Thanks for your help

Jo

eating afterwards you'll have more options - McDonalds, Annettes brunch, Cafe Mickey character breakfast, Earl of Sandwich, Starbucks, all in the Village. I believe there are bakeries near/at the RER station at val d'europe which may be open when you are heading into DLP in the mornings.

you can also pay to eat breakfast at any of the onsite hotels (including the DLH), just go see their concierge to get details, make reservations etc.

If you are a shareholder, you and up to 4 of your family can have a pastry/cookie or 2 and hot drinks/orange juice etc at Salon Mickey from 9am each morning until noon.

Thanks for your help. Breakfast at the DLH sounds great, we could even dream we were staying there. I assume breakfast is from 7 in all the hotels?

We wouldn't want to eat after EMH everyday because we tend to queue early for Autopia one morning if the kids want to ride, or pop to the studios for opening to get on crush or the parachutes.

On the 2nd page of that you've got a few reviews of breakfast in Disney Village and at the DLH

EoS opens at 8.30 and Starbucks and McDo at 8.00

You have several "cafe" type places at the MLV-Chessy RER station and the Little Casino shop has a counter selling croissants, pain au chocolats and the like along with coffee reasonably (for the area) cheaply

:goodvibes

yes, breakfast is from 7am in all the onsite hotels.
We had breakfast at the DLH on our last trip - not a meal to be rushed in my opinion, its so amazing :cloud9:! we went at just after 10am and were still enjoying it at 10.45. we ate so much we didn't need anything else at all until dinner in the evening.

When we went last year breakfast at the DLH started at 7.30, presumably because it's so much closer to the park.

We went to DLH for breakfast this time and couldn't BELIEVE how fantastic is was! (Thanks again DLPdaft!)

We got there for about 9am (after doing an hour of EMH) and the range was AMAZING! We couldn't eat until our pre-Fantillution hot dog! lol

Best €14 spent!! such value for money!

Thanks so much for your help everyone. I can't believe how reasonable the onsite breakfasts are especially comapred to other meals, the DLH would only cost a bit more than we would usuallly pay for a counter service lunch and looks like so much better value. I think we will definately have to do at least one late breakfast there. Do you go to the concierge to pay or just straight to the restaurant? Do you need to book in advance? Cafe mickey would be nice for the characters but for the amount they are charging I think we will stick to dinner there!

you go straight to the restaurant and tell them you want to pay for breakfast at the DLH. Its held in Inventions. I asked the lovely lady concierge there about it the day before we had breakfast there, she said (in the nicest possible way) "madam this is the Disneyland Hotel, you don't need to reserve for breakfast at all" :goodvibes.

Thanks, I am excited already and I haven't even decided definately on holiday dates yet!!!!!! Might even have to do 2 breakfasts there. With all that food we should be able to skip lunch.

Just out of interest how do we get into DLH if the park is closed?

Now just need to make a decision about what to do when we want breakfast early. We found at the residhome that we couldn't get to the table with the sofas made as beds and there were only three chairs at the table anyway. We just seemed to spend ages making and unmaking beds just to have a quick bowl of cereal then we were all hungry again by 10.30. Not sure I would trust the girls (or myself:rotfl:) to eat sat on the bed!

Just a thought , do you think that means we would need to reserve if we chose to eat in a different hotel?

do you mean early in the morning? i'm guessing you'd have to tell the security staff at the CM entrance (the nearest security entrance at the gates to the train station) that you are going to the DLH. this entrance is manned early for the CMs entering the park for the start of their work day.

from just about 8am the security gates will be manned anyway for EMH guests, so you'll have no trouble going to the DLH from that time.

I don't know about that, I've only paid for breakfast at the DLH, none of the other hotels (because you're kind of going out of your way, away from the parks and the train station, even to get to the HNY).

yes or equally if we wanted to eat there after the park closed (not that I think the budget will stretch to that!)

When I was doing my investigating at HNY they said I could just turn up and have breakfast, no need for reservation or anything so I guess the others would be the same thing :)

after the park is closed is not a problem, thats when most folk go to the DLH for meals. you just tell security (if you're coming from the Village/train station) that you are dining in the DLH. Otherwise, if you're coming from either the main park or the Studios, you don't go past the security entrance anyway, so you just go into the hotel by the side entrance not far from Guest Services at the entrance to the main park.

Thanks Elaine you are font of knowledge :thumbsup2.

If DH ever gets his holiday sorted out and we get a trip booked, it won't be in the DLH this time sadly but I love the idea of doing EMH and then going to the DLH for a late breakfast :goodvibes. The breakfasts there are fabulous (always eat too much and feel sick though :rotfl:). So if it is around that price it is good value and worth doing at least once on our trip ;).

Is it the same price for children (3+) does anyone know?

its 14 euros per adult, and 6 euros per child (up to age 11).
my DD is getting to the "its not cool to be enthusiastic about stuff" stage, but she raved about her DLH breakfast :thumbsup2!

Thanks, I'm not sure it is worth bothering walking too far from the train station to have to walk back again but it is always nice to be prepared just in case.

Thanks, I hadn't really thought about it before now.

Plans are already forming -: a couple of days of late lovely breakfasts, then no lunch and nice dinners and another couple of days with small breakfasts and large lunches in the park with a lighter meal/snack for dinner.

Even better :thumbsup2

Lol at your DD - I dread the day mine get like that :lmao: How old is she?
