We're heading to WDW next month  and I'd like to start a WDW charm bracelet tradition for my girls. I'd like to go ahead and get the bracelet before we go. Where can I find ones that are reasonably priced and made to hold up to the wear of a toddler and preschooler?

Also, which stores at WDW carry the charms? My dad and little bro are going next week and would like to get a charm for each of the girls.

Thanks!
Mel

you can get them almost anywhere the resorts and some shops.:goodvibes

The resort shops have a really good selection and the bracelets are pretty good, too. My daughter has one that she has added to on each of our two trips and it is very special to her. Its a great, and reasonably priced, souvenir.

are the bracelets sterling silver, or plated? Is it something that would stand up to years of collecting, or is it more of a costume jewlery thing? I would also like to start getting my dd(3 1/2) a charm each time we go, but I don't remember seeing a charm bracelet in any of the stores. Also, how much can I expect to pay for a bracelet and charm?

Thanks OP for asking a great question!:goodvibes

I think almost all the parks have stores that sell charms.....not every store but the ones that sell the "girly" things.
Also each resort gift shop carries the charms.

FYI, Claires in your local mall has charm bracelets and sometimes has Disney character charms.

You can get both solid sterling and 14K charms at Disney. You can also get cute costume jewelry charm bracelets. You can find some costume jewelry in most Disney stores at the parks/resorts. The sterling charms are available at many locations, although I would not say all. To get the largest selection, or if you want 14K, go the World of Disney store at DTD or the Emporium in MK.

If you plan on starting a sterling or 14k bracelet for your dds, I would agree that you might want to shop around for a bracelet at home to get a good price. You might try QVC - I think their jewelry prices are pretty good. I have my own charm bracelets and add a disney charm every year.

Just a thought....I have started a charm bracelet for my dd who is 3 1/2. I started it on our trip last year. But it is for her when she is a little older. It is 14k and I bought a regular size bracelet (like 7"). I will get charms for her at disney every year and for other special occasions. When she is a bit older she will be able to wear for special occasions, but she will not get "ownership" until she is old enough to care for an expensive piece of jewelry. She is very rough and tumble and the bracelet would be lost or broken if I gave it to her now. You might want to start the tradition of getting a charm for them, but let them pick a child size costume bracelet when you are there that they can wear every day. JMHO :)

Hi, i also have started charm bracelet for my 2 girls, and plan to get charms when we go in 2 weeks. I got my Solid stering silver ones at ebay, for about 10-15 dollars, i had to crop one of them since my little one is only 18 months old, and leave a little xtra room to grow. Hope this helps.
