Where to buy AP and 7-day PH

Where's the best place to buy an annual pass and a 7 day park hopper? Can I get just a regular PH, without it being an Ulatimate PH? We won't be going to the water parks or Pleaseure Island.

I know nothing of the annual pass, but you may get stuck with the Ultimate Park Hopper as part of a package. If you buy everything seperately, you can get advance regular Park Hopper tickets direct from Disney or many of the Travel services talked about here or AAA I think.

Sorry no help with AP but did buy 7 day PH a couple of days ago.

Thought I could out fox Disney and buy in Deleware (Tax Free) while driving through. No chance! Turns out they charrge Floriday State Tax no matter where you purchase them. Was happy w/the advanced purchase price so went ahead and got them anyway.

2 adults @ $316 and 2 child @253 with tax totaled $1212.04

There are no 7 day hoppers that are not Park Hopper Pluses.

You can check out AAA, Ticketmania, and other ticket brokers for the 7 day PHPs and will pay about $320 for an adult one.
If you try Hotwire Savings Club, you can get the 7 day PHP for about $301.

You can only get an AP voucher from the Disney Store, or from straight from Disney. There are no discounts on APs unless you are a DVC member or are renewing your AP.

If you are employed by DOD, are a member of the National Guard or Reserves, active military or military retiree, you can go to Shades of Green on Disney property and get discounted tickets and AP vouchers - you pay no tax on any passes. This is a great savings.

bsusanmb, Does it count if we do work for the DoD? I own a machine shop and we have made parts for them before. Have a CAGE code and everything.

BethR, Thanks for the info, I didn't know where to actually buy the passes. I will check out the Disney site for the AP, and a ticket broker for the PH. Big bummer about not being able to get a PH without the extra stuff.

As you have probably gathered there are a number of places you can buy the 7-day PHP. We have used both ticketmania.com and officialticketcenter.com before. We found the prices better at those websites than from the Disney store.

For an AP, you can either purchase a voucher or an activated pass. Here's an excerpt from allearsnet.com:

The following places will send you a voucher for your AP/PAP. This voucher must be exchanged for the actual pass at any WDW ticket window or Guest Relations window or at the Guest Relations offices at Downtown Disney or Downtown Disney West Side:

- Most Disney Stores throughout the U.S.
- online at www.disney.com
- by calling 407-WDISNEY

The following places will sell you an activated AP/PAP. No exchanging required:

- Any WDW major park ticket window
- Guest Relations at the major parks or at Downtown Disney and West Side
- The Ocala Disney Information Center on I-75 in Ocala, FL
- Disney's EarPort at Orlando International Airport (2 locations)
- Character Warehouse at Belz Mall 2 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Belz Mall 1 in Orlando
- Character Premiere at Orlando Premium Outlets Mall in Lake Buena Vista

There are really two differences between purchasing the activated passes versus the vouchers. First, the year begins on an activated pass the day you purchase it, while the time on the voucher will not start ticking until you activate it. Second, you can use your activated pass immediately while with the voucher you must wait in line at Guest Relations to get it activated.
