Where to buy a cat tree?

I bought this one:

http://www.wag.com/cat/p/armarkat-cat-tree-ivory-193095

They have a 25% off code for new customers so I got it for $66 with free shipping. Now to find some kitties....

How sweet! Buying the tree before you get the kittahs. Ours are evil :rotfl: so they needed more places to hide and attack. Especially our Lab. They rule the house.Hope you find your kittahs soon. While you are looking, check out LOLcats. It is so funny!

THE BEST place to buy a cat tree is from a CFA or TICA cat show. The shows often have vendors who craft cat trees and make them cat safe (no sharp edges, better rope, higher end carpet). The trees are awesome and very reasonably priced and last a long, long time. My favorite manufacturer is Arubacat in New Hampshire. They do have a website and not appears they ship. www.arubacat.com These trees are tops in my opinion!!

Try amazon. Over the last several months we have come to realize we can find almost anything on amazon, and it's always cheaper there. We have a prime membership so we get free two day shipping too, so if you don't have prime ask around and find a friend maybe that does.

Yep. I bought a really nice one a few years back for next to nothing.

OOOOHHHH thank you! I just ordered one from there. DH was always going to make one but he has good intentions but no time so the cats may never have gotten one. It was $88 plus coupon code ESYCDY for 10% off and free shipping.
$79 total and it arrive in 3 to 5 shipping days.:cool1:
My cats say thank you. They will be soooo excited! :yay: (DH says thank you too)

So glad I could help you, your DH and of course most importantly the kittehs!!!

This is the one my dear princess has: http://www.wag.com/cat/p/armarkat-cat-tree-ivory-193070

Ha-ha. I showed the picture to my dh last night and he said that is a cat fortress. He thought I was just going to get one of the small 2 foot ones. :rotfl:

I got this one for our two cats http://www.wayfair.com/Kitty-Mansio...t-Tree-in-Brown-and-Beige-KMZ1002.html?init=1

They love it. The price has gone up since I bought it two months ago, because I paid $127 including shipping. Wayfair was much cheaper than if I bought it directly from KittyMansions.com.

The ones linked above are HUGE!! My cats wouldn't know what to do with those giant things but they'd probably love it. I will say that I love the DIS for finding out about things like giant cat condos!

I found the armarkat trees on amazon and while looking at them I came across this. I am ordering one right now because cleaning the litter is like being punished in my house. If it looks as easy as the videos posted make it seem my husband is going to love me and never complain about cleaning the litter again.

Overstock.com has lots - search on "Cat Condo". Many of the Armakat ones mentioned by PPs are there, for cheaper prices than I see on the other websites mentioned, even with coupon codes.

The litter box is neat. I'll have to look at it closer. At first I thought it was one of the electric ones. I thought they sounded great until one our freinds had one short out while they were gone and the house burnt down! Changed my mind about that purchase. This one looks great because it's manual.

Thanks PP for reminding me about that litter box! I think I'm going to buy one when I get paid on Monday. I have 4 cats and I am sick of scooping. If it works well, I'll probably invest in a second one and get rid of the old boxes. I had an electric one once, but the rake would get stuck all the time and it finally died.

I showed it to my mom and she was like, "we're buying it tomorrow!"

Yes, the electric ones suck. We went through 2 before we just gave up! I'll be buying this one very soon because I HATE cleaning the litter box. At least I know it'll be cleaned everyday if I get this one.

I recently bought 2 from Petsmart. The first one is a little smaller but I could see the potential. So I bought a second one to compliment the first. I have 3 cats and they love it. One has claimed the top floor for herself. And if she wants it the other give in to her. The second one is taller. Both were on sale and came already put together (I liked that). The cats are tearing it apart, which is good. I'm planning on getting new furniture for myself and got theirs first so they will be scratching their own furniture.

Nevermind, I see you got a much better deal! I like the one you bought - it's very similar to the one I made in miniature for my mini hobby!

DMIL has two of these that she bought about 10 years ago and they still look amazing. These are definitely the best. Very sturdy, well made, pieces of furniture really. If only they would ship one of the bigger ones out here to Ohio, I know our three kitties would just love one.

do you have job lot? i got mine there for 35 dollars.

:thumbsup2 I got one last summer at Ocean State Job Lot, it's about 6 feet tall and has three levels for the cats to hang out on, and I paid around $50 for it. I know it's not fashionable furniture, but it was some of the best $$$ I have ever spent!

Woohoo! Got that self cleaning litterbox you guys reminded me about and it works amazingly well! I have 4 cats and one of the regular litterboxes is gone. I plan to buy a second of these next week. It is so nice not to have to touch the dirty litter. I have to tap the bottom 5-6 times to get everything to drop, but that's take 5 seconds. The cats seems to like it too.

Try Amazon and Overstock.com - my sister in law got us one for Christmas from Overstock last year that is like a deluxe kitty penthouse, and she got it for $50!

Lol...I've read that a scratching post is supposed to be high enough that the cat can stretch fully while scratching, so 2 feet would not have cut it. I LOVE my cat tree and so does my cat! We got him as a kitten, and he was crazy for a long time. He's still a little crazy, but the tree helps a ton, and as a bonus, he hardly ever scratches anywhere else.

Thanks for the review! I'm waiting until I have enough Amex points to shop on Amazon with before I order it. I'll probably have enough by the end of June when all my vacation charges roll in! I'm very excited for a clean litter box!
