Where to Book hotels and car?

We're going to WDW end of Nov this year and for the first time not using a travel agent. Would anyone know where the best place is to book hotels (prefer a Disney hotel) car and insurances.
With the dollar so weak against pound would it be best to pay in dollars?

We have always booked resorts direct through WDW at www.disneyworld.com rather than using the UK WDW site, with the excellent exchange rate it is much cheaper booking it through the .com site. We usually use a PAP code or some other kind of discount (The Spring Saver Code for our trip this Easter). Many people on the boards also use Dreams Unlimited Travel (www.dreamsunlimtedtravel.com)

For Car Hire, I have found the cheapest place to be for our upcoming trip www.novarentacar.com

If you decide not to stay at a Disney hotel, you might want to try www.hotelkingdom.com for hotel reservations. We've found them to be pretty good in the past.

For Disney hotels I would use Dreamsunlimited, they will get you as good a price as booking through Disney direct, but will check for you to see if they can get a better deal, something you won't get if you book through Disney direct. Worse case scenario means you pay the same as you would through Disney central reservations so IMHO you've got nothing to lose.

Off site I like to use http://www.hotwire.com , they work in a similar way to priceline, but whereas with priceline you say what you want to pay , hotwire you can see what they are charging. Like priceline you don't know the actual hotel until after you book, but you can see the star rating, location and hotel facilities before you decide. I've got some great deals using this company.
